“Still Air” is the 3rd solo album by japanese electronic musician and
soundtrack composer Teruyuki Nobuchika. Who already released on the well
known japanese label „Plop“. The eight track album on german label
“Oktaf Records”. features electronic abstractions and classic
sensitivity influences in a minimal ambient music context.
I think a number of folk here would like this. It's a very engaging mix of delicacy and noise, melody and raw power. Like a Nils Frahm/Ben Frost mashup in places. And currently 40% off in the Dronarivm sale.
Yes! That Venezuelan comp is quite wonderful. It's also one of the albums I'm skimming over today for the radio show. If you haven't heard it, you may be surprised by its variety.
And lo it came to pass that verily I was in Sounds of the Universe yesterday buying up cds as though they were going out of fashion (well they are really aren't they?)
It is a very varied and great album as you say Rostasi. Just popping out to a gig now. Will report back with further offerings.
Like the détourned pic of Pee-Wee and Chairy above.
Yup, big fan of the Soul-Jazz label. I don't know if I'd have any money if I lived near their store. Same feeling if I still lived in Chicago and had Dusty Groove nearby.

Now playing:
Modern band doing late 60's/early 70's styled soul and ur-blaxploitation.
- "An elegant mix of post-rock and electronic influences,
French Teen Idol’s music provides the listener with cinematic
landscapes, dramatic crescendos and striking vocal samples"

And the first self titled one from 2005:
- I love this guy's music . . .
- And another "old" Netlabel classic:
Loss of a Child with the drama button turned all the way up . . .
Next up moving way over to Tanzania. Re-issue of the sole 1973 album with a second cd of singles and unreleased radio sessions. Album is quite raw and live sounding featuring effects laden guitar, trombone, double percussion and keys. Even violin on a slightly shakey slow soul ballad. Some great tunes forged in many club dates I'd wager. Oh on Strut btw.

The amount of high quality hip hop that has come out in the last couple weeks is astounding.

I finished watching the second season of Fargo, War Pigs was featured near the end. So I thought a little Ozzy was required this morning.

Old-fashioned, 50's/60's-style Brazilian easy listening with the occasional strings.
