Very nice NYOP sampler from Preserved Sound. Right now I am really enjoying the Ales Tsurko track, which was apparently generated by algorithms from word counts in random wikipedia articles, but is surprisingly musical.
Thanks for the advice GP. So far I have only found it available as CD but I'll try Spotify and Apple Music later. As part of my search though I have found a few other albums of interest, although I'd already got this one. The CD with Eric Clapton sparked my interest in Wynton Marsalis and I have been listening to a few other things recently.
What others have to say about the album "I'm a massive Chip Wickham fan." – Craig Charles "This is coming from the outside, I was like whooooa, easy - Chip Wickham! Blowing hard - they got it right!" – Gilles Peterson "I love this record" – Matthew Halsall "Helll yeah, I've been bumpin' this" – DJ Lefto "This is my kind of jazz… think Harold Land and Bobby Hutcherson 1968 and you'll not be far off the mark" – Eddie Roberts (The New Mastersounds) "Fxxing love this" – Eddie Piller (Acid Jazz) "Love this album and coudn't turn it off" – Dean Rudland "All tracks show an incredible depth, feeling and soul. Will be on my playlists for years to come" – Dr Bob Jones "Beautiful stuff - played it out last night and it sounded fantastic" – Tim Love Lee (Tummy Touch) "Really fantastic playing and composition. Wickham has a classy touch that makes his vintage influences fresh and vital sounding" – Tomas Palermo (Forward Ever) "Slingshot is quality, can't wait for the album" – Mark Further In Fusion "This album came in somehow like out of the blue late 2016, and has not left my audio ever since" – Michael Rütten
This is on Bandcamp and I have asked E Music if they will get this, silence as usual I am afraid
I didn't exactly forget I had this, but just now listening through. As if heaven is a Carnaval street parade going on at some distance outside your window, which I for one am certainly hoping it is. Dave's Bandcamp interview with Rob Mazurek
extract from Marc Sabat's 'Jean Philippe Rameau', in the version for
string quartet, played by the Jack Quartet. Released on the CD 'Harmony'
on Another Timbre as part of the Canadian Composers Series in 2017

It's Not Boring. It's Ambient. CD 1: Ukraine, various artists from Preserved Sounds, NYOP on Bandcamp. The second CD is also NYOP, Polish Ambient.
