Along with Wanda Jackson, there's a Smokey Robinson & the Miracles comp (early A Sides and B Sides) from Acrobat. But what got me here was one of the better comps from Rockbeat Records; Soul & Swagger - the complete 5 Royales 1951-1967. It's a 5 Cd set (and I purchased the physical set), and available for $6.49 American. There's not much left at EMusic (more of my wish list is going to Not available, but I hold onto them just in case), so grab this while it's still available.
Muggsy, I just wanted to say: that album Anthology by the Clean is one of my alltime faves. I remember downloading it from Google for a comparable price and then listening to it continuously for 2 whole weeks.
Also, this is very minor Franco, but here's a 99 cent album of his stuff. Emusic has lost some of the better Franco compilations, but the ones remaining are all 3.99. I bought 3 of my 4 fave Franco compilations on emusic (all gone unfortunately), but the amazing thing about Franco compilations is that there's virtually no overlapping of tracks. I feel myself getting sucked into buying yet another Franco compilation FYI: The best compilation of Franco stuff is the 2 volume Francophonic, but it's not here anymore. But I haven't listened to any album by Franco that isn't gold..
FUN FACT: To my great amusement (and embarrassment), today I learned that the lyrics to one of my all-time favorite Afropop songs by Franco (AZDA) clearly indicate that it is a jingle for a Volkswagon car dealership. No matter. I still love this song and especially the guitar solo near the end! http://kenyapage.net/commentary/songs/azda-by-franco-luambo-translated/
Chet Bater and Miles David, The Complete Performances With The Lighthouse All-Stars, 99 cents on Doxy. A guy on Amazon says, "It's
Chet with the Lighthouse All Stars on tracks 1-6 and Miles with the
stars on 7-9. Miles tone isn't really all that clear but compatible with
his early 1950's 10 inch LPs for Blue Note and Prestige Rolf Ericson
is the second trumpet on both sessions and then the saxes, Bud Shank on
alto and the tenors of Bob Copper or Jimmy Giuffre. At Last and Round
Midnight are trumpet quartet performances by Chet or Miles."
Wow, the William Parker is a real find. It's terrific. Fun fact: one of the live performances on the William Parker album was at DiverseWorks in Houston. I have lived in Houston almost all my life and although they have all sorts of great cutting-edge performances I have wanted to attend, I could never figure out how to get there. (it was an extremely hard to access venue under the freeway near downtown). Checking the website now, I see that they have moved to a more accessible location...
2 Albums by Kanda Bongo Man: Iyole, Mazine and Djessy, Dyna. Classic 1980s albums by classic Congolese soukous musician. His first two albums. Both albums are 30 minutes, 4 tracks at 99 cents each.
There are several other albums at 99 cents. All of these styles are fast, rhythmic, upbeat, pleasant and relaxing with vocals.
Plong42 my guess is that the Rarity Label carries those albums for so cheap because in the rest of the world have different copyright laws from the US and emusic hasn't blocked it from US customers. It looks like works copyrighted in Nov 1963 and before are in the public domain in Europe. I'll be honest: regardless of the law, I have no compunction about purchasing/downloading stuff which is in the public domain in EU.
From wikipedia: In the European Union and Canada, sound recordings were copyrighted for fifty years until 2013. On January 1, 2013, the Beatles' single "Love Me Do" entered the public domain.[3] As of November 2013, European sound recordings are now protected for 70 years, which is not retroactive.[4] In 2015, Canada changed the copyright length to 70 years.[5]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain_music
Related: Apparently Trump passed a new copyright law about older recordings. Previously pre-1972 recordings in the USA were covered by state contract law (not copyright). this law now eliminates that. Details are on this chart (scroll to the bottom). Apparently the 1963 song Love Me do then will go into the public domain in the USA in 2067. Which is crazy!
Strangely the 1968 "Hey Jude" would go into public domain in EU 70 years after the death of the last group member (let's be generous and say that Paul and Ringo live until 2030). Then it will go into the public domain in EU in 2100. For the US, "Hey Jude" will enter the public domain in 2067.
With regard to the Solarstone techno/trance, if you exclude the separate mixes, it amounts to a "mere" 5 hours. There are lots of "edits" (instead of full tracks). that generally is a bad thing, but most are over 6 minutes, which is better. Overall, it's a great mix that doesn't seem too repetitive. Great find on the other stuff too. I mean, for 99 cents, that's great...

Normally with this sort of thing "edit" just means a kind of (re)mix nothing to do with foreshortened track lengths. Terms & conditions apply!
Mahler's Ninth, 2CDs for $2.99, recorded by Camerata RCO, "a unique ensemble comprised of members of Amsterdam's renowned Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra."

Early and perhaps before he got into his stride but a bargain at 49 cents for nearly 50 minutes of music.
