@confused If you enjoyed the Samla records; and don't already know them; don't forget to check the Zamla Mammas Manna albums and indeed the Von Zamla records and then there's all the Lars Hollmer related projects... My 18 year old brain was blasted once more when I first heard Schlagerns Mystik / For Aldre Nybegynnare having made my first mail order purchase from Recommended Records. Etron Fou Lelouban always made me wish that my French was better than lousy.

Their ultimate showstopper:
(1978) - The Fate
- One of the bands I would travel far to catch a live performance (back in the days)
(the late) Lars Holmer had quite an impact on the sound as composer and keyboardplayer and worth checking out

Indeed I once went from London to Victoriaville Canada to catch Lars. Half way through his set my mate asked if I was alright; I'd started crying without realising it, thinking what a strange trip it had been from a back street in Oldham to a rural town in Quebec to watch a mad Swede...
The wonders of technology. Having a beer in my local brew shop spotted this on a vinyl collectors Facebook thread. Made a note, got home bought and now a first listen. Three tracks of *ahem* "Dungeon Drone" which clock in at 18:08, 25:16 and 43:28 The drones mainly come from accordion, voice and synth. I may be here a while. [Later - there is a considerable amount of percussion in the last track so hardly drone alone but still epic in a minimalist fashion.]
Never before released, professional, high quality live recordings from the band's German tour of Spring, 1983! This features the No Make Up line up [Michel Berckmans, Eino Haapala, Lars Hollmer, Hans Loelv, Wolfgang Salomon & Mårten Tiselius] performing (often radically rearranged) versions of tracks from No Make Up and Zamlaranama, as well as other oddities & a Samlas track too! Challenging yet still filled to the brim with toe-tapping melodies and great playing, this sounds as fresh now as when it was originally recorded. Cuneiform September 22, 1999
