This really confused me when I stumbled across it on emusic and it took some searching to find out anything about it. Larry Goldings' usual trio includes Peter Bernstein on guitar and Bill Stewart on drums (clearly not this trio, which is piano/bass/drums), and I could find no reviews of this anywhere, nor any information, even on Larry Goldings' own website, until I tracked it down on the label website, where I am told it is "performed on a 1908 Steinway and accompanied by Darek Oles and Peter Erskine." Interestingly, the label exists primarily "not for consumers, but with the primary goal of securing its placement and usage in films, TVs and commercials" (Link). Maybe that's why there's no publicity trail?
From my 60s/70s Progressive Rock post. “Marks” and “Mountain Queen” by Alquin. Top rank, innovative Prog Rock (Dutch) from the early 70s, still on eMusic.
(I noticed that RHA are having a January sale, and took the plunge on a pair of T20s. I was hoping for a slight sound upgrade on my MA750is, which are already a pretty decent pair of earphones and sound good. I am actually amazed at how great the T20s sound.)
Well, it's kind of ironic that I seem to have less time to listen to music/noise in the winter when I should have more ass time since I can't be in the garden, but it just doesn't work out that way. At any rate, there's been some things that need exploring from this last weeks posts and I should be getting back to the A's but I'm sticking with those kings... King Kooba
Still good stuff on emu! But I’m feeling more and more bad about buying from them. At this point I think I’m more likely to drop out because they’re not paying artists than because I can’t find something to spend my $6.49 a month on. This is really great though and I doubt I would have found it without emu.
"Cult Legends" label on eMusic I don't know whether others have noticed but 23 out of eMusic's top 100 albums are from the Dutch "Cult Legends" label (see links below to eMusic and their site). I have been enjoying some good live performances (some not so good!) on this label from bands/performers such as The Eagles, Leonard Cohen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, David Bowie, CSN, Santana, Tom Waits, Patti Smith et al. Does anybody know anything about the bona fides of this label?
@peterfredericks - looking at the cult legends releases, my strong suspicion is that they are bootlegs, certainly not official releases. In other words, no income to the artist!

A long sampler of “Extratone; the world’s fastest music” see https://daily.bandcamp.com/2018/04/27/an-introduction-to-extratone-the-worlds-fastest-music-genre/
Interesting, if somewhat difficult listening that keeps growing on me as I work my way through it.
