Sorry about the size of the image I don't appear to be able to change it.
    Here's how I do it:
    - in a new tab or in the "Attach image"

    - Also, the Firefox browser has a resizing tool that allows you to make fine adjustments.
    It looks like this:
ECM is building their catalogue on BC these days . . .
Thanks for that. Just got a new laptop and it is set up to Chrome when previously I was using Firefox and the re-sizing tool you mention. Will set it up after I've finished my writing deadline. Also thanks for the heads up on those slowpokes ECM!

Especially when it’s 14.99 in Euros, which is about $16.50, and the album I was interested in (Cyrille/Smith/Frisell) is less that $6.50 on Google, it does indeed make one hesitate. Where there is a few dollars’ difference I sometimes choose bandcamp anyway because money to artist etc. But that’s a hefty markup.

  • Back in the late 1980's living in North London I'd go to Mole Jazz and pick up recent review copies of ECM titles. Always around the £7.99 to £9.99 mark - which was the new price for most labels. If ever there has been a label that has done just as much positive as negative for music... and that includes the awful reverb drenched production balanced against great early releases and their sometimes great New Music series. Ah well.
  • It is a great label but the prices are eye watering, used to go to Mole Jazz as well as Honest Johns in Camden to pick up Gil Scott Heron's albums on import. Have a lot of Keith Jarrett albums as well as many others.

Remember when the ECM back catalogue was free on Guvera...?
  • I remember going to Honest Johns, probably in the 80s?  I'd forgotten it until mentioned above. I didn't know Moles, though. Currently trying hard to book a grocery deleivery slot!

I remember starting my collection in the 60s at Jaffe's Book & Music Exchange in downtown Calgary and I couldn't tell you how much time I've spent flipping records since then.

  • As this album comes to its conclusion, I realize that I have listened to it countless times and it still blows me away.  It really is a modern jazz masterpiece.
