I certainly need this one, but why oh why does it cost £19.99 for a single cd from Amazon?
Well, Amazon appears to have the double disc for anywhere from $19 to $23 which is a pretty reasonable price methinks (well, for these days anyway). Also, when I say "good recording quality," I'm speaking relatively so. There will be some glitches now and then, but the original 4-track tapes have gone missing and so they had to make do with something not as good ... but, still glorious to hear this.
I assumed I was buying a single disc cd what with there being just 4 tracks and about 79 minutes of music. We'll see what Amazon UK delivers as the cd is not currently listed on their site.
EDIT
[I see from my order that it is listed as 2 discs and also that there was a moody release some time back of just the track Africa which I picked up somewhere.]
Only thing that could be better is if 2 little owlets pop out today.
It's about that time - usually around the first of April, so we'll see...
Sure enough, around 7:20 am by their clock, 2 fluffy little owlets are welcomed to this world. Now I feel so sorry for those eagles buried in snow still thinking the eggs will hatch. (if they're still there).
Oh! I see! It's funny that the two that hatched together were actually laid three days apart. The third egg was four days later, so we'll see. Actually those poor eagles are still waiting with no hope really. Right now the nest is filled with a heap of snow!

I was at a conference in country Victoria (Australia) last week, woke up during the night, looked out of my window and there were over 20 kangaroos Just casually relaxing on the lawn right outside my room!
Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed this album - "Choose Your Weapon" by Hiatus Kaiyote.
Quoting AMG, "Progressive-eclectic DJs like Gilles Peterson, Garth Trinidad, and Carlos Niñocould not have dreamt them up. Within the context of a playlist, any one of a dozen songs here could bridge '50s bop to '60s MPB, or '70s art rock to '80s boogie, or '90s neo-soul to 2000s dubstep. Equally remarkable is that none of it seems devised. It's like these musicians simply radiate the stuff."
My pick of tracks are tracks 2, 13 and 17 - "Shaolin Monk Motherfunk", "By Fire" and "Molasses".
Logic says that I should be working my way through my Bandcamp Friday purchases, but I got diverted into sorting out that back-up hard drive again. This one drew a blank before I Googled. Italian Rock In Opossition, allied to Stormy Six's record label. This is a re-issue of their only album and a 12" e.p.

So on went "The Best of the Animals" album which starts with their all time classic "The House of the Rising Sun".
I really can't see myself going though, as it wouldn't be right without Eric Burdon on lead vocals.
