I didn't think far enough into the future for him... Let's Dance and China Girl both are good pop songs, not perfect by any means, but for Bowie, as close as he usually gets. TVC15 is another good one. Starman, I'm torn on. It's hard for me to separate the song from the album, y'know? I can't disqualify it, that's for sure.
Others that occurred to me that border on poppish tunes by Bowie.
John, I'm Only Dancing
Young Americans
Suffragette City (maaaaybe... I might exclude this one before I even finish typing this post.)
Boys Keep Swinging
Diamond Dogs

Starman-David Bowie
Starman-Dar Williams (I have mixtaper.com to thank for hearing this one)
And as for Bowie, how about China Doll? That's pretty upbeat.
(a Danish one hit wonder)

"Absolute Beginners" from the movie soundtrack of the same name. Very pretty, very poppy song, even with that traditional Bowie sadness.
but
Shame, Shame, Shame
(A very charming Live Version)
(OMG !)
Where Do The Children Play (live)
The question is, which O'Jays song? Most would probably say this; but I have a weak spot for this one. Sunniest heartbreak song ever.
Otis Redding - Sitting on the dock of the bay
