Dying Will Be Easy by Fight the Big Bull
I completely lack the vocabulary to talk intelligently about Jazz however I hear Davis, and Mingus in this album with traces of Tom Waits and John Zorn bubbling about. Definitely enjoying it.
I put my media player on Random and it spit up this over the past hour or so:

Craig - I really like it. I'm a big Black Keys fan, and really love the way they created a bluesy groove to feed the various rappers. While not as good as their own material, it would be great to see them explore this kind of collaboration eve more.
amclark2, seek out Lambkin/Lescalleet's The Breadwinner if you're unfamiliar (and the rest of the Erstwhile catalog if you happen to not know it). (But maybe listening to Salmon Run makes such unfamiliarity unlikely?) Lambkin has a new one out too: Softly Softly Copy Copy.
Thanks for the pointer to the Erstwhile site - I am unfamiliar - this stuff is much easier to read about than to actually find - which is probably why places like tiny mix tapes like to write about it so much.
Not only is Erstwhile one of the premier labels in electro-acoustic-improv-related music (I'm a completist of that catalog, and am glad to offer suggestions if you want some), but they also run a fine distribution service for the genre in general; prices there are generally as good as you'll find anywhere, and most of it is generally offered by only a few folks anyway.
(If you happen to order anything, tell Jon that Vince sent you.)
Never really gave Rook a listen, but liked the samples enough to grab this one while it was still cheap on Amie. Really enjoying it. Makes me think I should give their EP that I got for free another listen.

Punjab Dhamar - Allah Rakha & Zakir Hussain
I had gotten this long before Saregama went batshit insane with their pricing, 12 credits at eMusic or $10 at iTunes per track. That said, it is one of my favorite ways to wake up in the morning, especially if I can't make yoga.
Currently listening to Toad the Wet Sprocket. I always forget how good they are. To borrow a phrase from last night's U.S.A. v. Canada hockey game, they are tremendously tremendous.

edit:
- Just found the CD - there's a lot of detailed info for each track and lyric's in a very nice booklet
I love this album so much. Absolutely perfect for a Friday morning at work.

Mmmmmm.... M83. Saturdays=Youth. Once again, "Kim & Jessie" is such a freakin' awesome song.
...on lala. It is going to take a while to get through this one!

Blackroc - S/T. The Black Keys + a bunch of Hip-Hop artists. Listening to this makes me actually feel hip...

Speaking of Black Keys, I'm listening to Live Current Volume 5 and a live version of Dan Auerbach's "Street Walking" just started.

thom - Agree on the Shearwater. Not the best thing I've heard this month, but it scratches a particular itch.

I almost forgot how brilliant it is.
La Differanza by SADO (free at Clinical Archives). Free Jazz/Avant-Garde. Much more humorous than a work based on Derrida should be.
