It occurred to me that Denver might be a tag in Bandcamp, and sure enough it is. This is the highest ranking in popularity. Kind of singer-songwriter-ish, I don't know.
Hey qwynwyn-- if you see this post, before he moved to Denver he was at UCSD, apparently.
- Streaming the Generic Engines. . .
A bit the same kind of tenderness and passion as you find in artists like Thom Yorke (Radiohead) and David Eugene Edwards (Wowen Hands).
- A very skilled singer/songwriter. . Thanks Denver.
BN: do you know what the deal is with Marinoni and Roncarolo (and the other Clinical Archives stalwart, Schenone)? I can't find any detailed biographical information about them.
@BN
Seeing that WOW!, I had to take a break from Scherer and have a listen.
Count me as one who doesn't "run screaming" from your recs.
[edit]
Incidentally, I'll be searching for Roger Kleier's previous releases... anyone who's playing was inspired by the venerable Captain is OK in my book.
I'm beginning to leave a phase where I need quiet introspective electronica/Kranky-stuff first thing in the morning, and instead require happy calm straight ahead jazz, something with a gentle swing and a light bounce.
Red Garland is definitely up next. Then maybe some Wes.

On New World via Amie. The Amazon page has some interesting notes from the recording engineer.
- #4 from Brian Eno's Obscure label (1975)
Sandro Marinoni & Stefano Roncarolo - Live (Clinical Archives ca420) (January 16, 2011)
Sandro Marinoni is REALLY "letting it all out" on this one. . . Brilliant !
Step right up, everyone's a winner.
Craig
streaming - Funk Archeology at NPR - wow!
It's the boy's new favorite (or conversely, it's rapidly becoming annoying to me. Does childhood destroy musical taste?).
Apparentlyfree
- There's a bit about Schenone here, but I know nothing about Marinoni and Roncarolo, besides they are a part of the Frames Music Collective
