Finished Grey Ghost (see Good Free Stuff thread). Starting another Candy Dinner offering:
Cosmic, full group improvisatory pop. Heavy dub rhythms made by samplers & real humans. Sad Bernie Worrell synth-funk. Underwater disco. Arthur Russell as envisaged by King Tubby. Song workshop that functions as finished product.
Sounds to me like the eight guys in Fabulous Three took over the Tru Thoughts offices.
I've been finding a lot of things lately that I just didn't spend enough time on when I first bought them. Although it might be kind-of impossible to spend enough time with this.

The couple of tracks I have so far played remind me a bit of early Chicago - it probably was the same era
Thanks for this amclark - available from FMA at http://freemusicarchive.org/music/univeria_zekt/Unnamables

Quite influential on me when it first came out. First full play in ages. He hadn't got the reputation that he later 'achieved' when this was released
For 2 by Alva Noto
Brilliant. (And being at the start of the alphabet doesn't hurt its rotation chances any when I'm in a hurry).
Easily one of my best DL's from eMu.
In Real Time by Alvin Curran, Evan Parker, Andrea Centazzo
Another from FMA. As others have said a strong Neil Young After the Goldrush era influence
While I doubt they'll ever do anything as great as Ayrton Senna again, this album is way better than I first gave it credit for.

Havn't changed what itunes is playing, so it'll be Nebraska next followed by The Promise unless I do something!!
Leafcutter John - The Housebound Spirit - Planet Mu 2003
Soooo good !
Haven't heard for a long time, and like very much. From the good ol' Black Saint/Soul Note "motherlode."
Halfway through the first track I have to say I think this will be a purchase. Thanks to whoever rec'd.
