I haven't heard anything through First Listen for some time as well. I used to find out about them via email, but for some reason I don't get them anymore.
Sad thing is, I'm on the internet ALL THE TIME these days. I have absolutely no excuse to not open an additional window and just stream the damn music. Well, there you go... that's why S.I.T.E.S. needs to get included in the next version of the DSM IV.
Mati Zundel, 'Amazonico Gravitante'
Listening now, about 1/3 into it. Sounds good so far. It went up on the 18th. so don't wait too long to check it out.
Thanks for the heads up. Like the new M. Ward too. Excited about Of Monsters and Men. I picked up their EP a few weeks ago. Love "Little Talks." A bit of Stars and toned down Los Campesinos.
Following up on my recommendation for Tim Berne's new album Snakeoil, there's a BBC3 interview/concert being streamed for, hm, only 4 hours left. Oh well, listen if you can!
That is pretty. But it really sounds like something from not that long ago. Especially whenever he sings the word "dreamer," it totally reminds me of someone. Can you tell me who?
Playing this now. The mix seems more open, the percussion seems more forward and crisp than I remember. I haven't A/B'd it with the old version though. Remastered by the original engineer, Ray Staff.

It's like if I don't make a site part of my routine, it's like shrink from visiting it. Pathetic. Guh.

Listening now, liking it so far.
Also albums by Bear in Heaven, Of Monsters and Men, and High on Fire are up today on First Listen.
This is a good one. Best heard in a poorly-lit, smoke-filled room.
M. Ward is still up for you S.I.T.E.S. sufferers.
New Alabama Shakes, Amadou and Mariam also await our attention on First Listen.
edit: Of Monsters and Men and High on Fire are also still up for listening.
Also a new Yppah release...
- One of music history's most powerful voices.
Beautiful. This has already been up a while so don't delay.
I also liked Sea of Bees - Orangefarben, this is also down in the tail and likely to disappear soon.
New Norah Jones, Santigold, and Rufus Wainwright are also in my queue.
- And:
Patrick Watson - Adventures in Your Own Backyard
Go play this now. It's beautiful.

I don't think you've got 5 years for this one. I see some other places like Rolling Stone have it too.
