This is why I joined mtraks. I can still take a chance on some new electropunk (or as last.fm calls it: "nine dirges of skronky noir"), that is quite enjoyable but wouldn't be something I'd be willing to pay new eMu prices for.
"Ed is a Portal" is one of the greatest songs. I could listen to that over and over and over...
Alphabetical list, this happened to come up next. Don't feel like turning it off...
Bn, in a not dissimilar (but more processed) vein, I bet you'd like solo saxophonist/sound artist Thomas Ankersmit (his site has a couple streams that you can also download). His release Live In Utrecht is very fine (appeared at #4 on this Popmatters Best of 2010 list).
This afternoon has been Fela on random. I mentioned above that I like Guvera. I would do very bad things, though, if they would enable Amie Street to return. Probably my best Amie download was Fela's Na Poi: Batch 2. 27 Fela tracks for about $4? Don't mind if I do.
Pandora's Box party. Nice find, Brighternow. (And as lent ends tomorrow I'll be able to download it soon).
(Always feel it's a slight shame when German bands feel the need to sing in English)

On the way in to work. The distinction that In Ghost Colours is the better album blurs with each listen.
Back to the amie st. backlog.
$3 well spent. Nice album.

Another Amie thing - thanks to somebody here - available free at the link above.
3rd or 4th time through, really love this album.
Aidan Baker & Ben Fleury-Steiner - Second Week of the Second Month
(Those recs may not gather instant response, but they germinate slowly - thanks Brighternow, I think).
Seaworthy & Pollen Trio - Untitled
Sweet ! . . . Thanks for the reminder Amclark2 . . .

Cathedral Oceans by John Foxx.
Kind of want to like this. In the end a bit too syrupy/NewAge.
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - Shahbaaz
I like Guvera.

(Sorry, BN: a little German Lent humor.)
