Another good bassist-led session from a year or two ago. Steve Wilson (saxophone); Eric Scott Reed (piano); Warren Wolf, Jr. (vibraphone); Christian McBride (bass); Carl Allen (drums).
Disc 1. I finally managed to download the whole thing; two tracks are undownloadable, and a few more are missing, but at 62 discs for free, no complaints here. Currently have discs 1-9 on my phone, so now it's time to start listening.
I actually try to keep a lid on the Jazz Gods in my collection..."I already have plenty of Miles." But find myself becoming a completist when it comes to Trane.
I've tended to tread very gingerly around Ultimae records' brand of "ambient" - when "ambient" means (caricature warning!) lush slowed down syrupy dance music with whooshing sounds and someone saying New Agey things over it it's not so much my thing. Don't know whether it's just today's mood, but stretches of this one are fairly enjoyable. (Of course as I write I just hit an annoyingly saccharine track, but it's been OK for a change of scene so far. Picked it up for next to nothing on Amie, which is why I have it)

Very good. Chilled ambientish electronica.
Happy Birthday Kanye!
He's only 34. I've wasted my life.
