@ Doofy . . .
I've been trying to find out wtf. the word "broody" means with no luck. However, I do consider Pandoras.Box's music to be pop and pretty powerful, thus "powerpop".
Arrange - Plantation
"Arrange is a 18-year-old musician born in South Florida and raised in Northeast Georgia. Presently based In Ft. Lauderdale, he has self-released three records of earnest, forward-thinking electronic music over the past year. Read a short interview below with Malcom Lacey, AKA Arrange." > > >
- Not bad, not bad at all . . . (quite unique, actually) - Thanks Craig.
I spent more time looking for an image of this album than it took to listen to it. That's what happens 10 years after you saw an anonymous band and bought their CDs.
Trio Chroch, Live in New York (not the actual album cover)
Dylan A-Z (archive from 5/24)
This is the first 2 hours of 6 hours of special programming EVR ran for Dylan's 70th birthday. All three of the special programs are available to listen from the archive.
edited to add:
Part 2: Rolling Stones Best of the Bootlegs
Part 3: Dylan Covers
All three programs are available at the link above.
Good stuff. Now downloading the Reinhardt and Grapelli from Amazon, though, so that's up soon. Then I'll download the new loscil, which landed on emu today... busy day of listening ahead :-).
Well, I've been away from my computer for just over a week and we are already three pages into the 6th edition! So much elese to catch up on including all the recommendations...
@Plong42 I was listening to Shades of Orion 3 earlier this morning - Namlook and Inoue. Love that series. Your post reminds me: I think I actually have one of the Jet Chamber series downloaded but not listened to yet...must dig it out and add it to the queue.
@germanprof - "Shades of Orion 3 earlier this morning " Also very good. I bought loads of his stuff early in my emusic life since they were long often tracks for a single credit. Namlook only has what, 250 albums out? (To stay on topic....I am up to Jet Chamber 4 now...)
Funny thing is with Namlook, I like a lot of his collaborations, but not so much of his solo stuff. I got a bunch of it under the old credits system also.
Many thanks for the playlist GP - I'm stuck in a hotel room away for work, but will play tomorrow on my own computer. As it was half term last week my wife was off work, so lots of gardening, visting relatives etc, but not enough time to get to this forum when I did get on the computer. I though of you over the weekend as we went to stay with my stepson's partner's family on a farm just outside Kirton, Boston not far from Long Sutton.
JUst finished Ray Davies See My Friends, now palying Adele 21 which is just right for late evening playing here. The hotel broadband is so slow I can't get images or listen to music online.
@Greg, can't guarantee you'll like the music, just thought you'd appreciate the geographical references. Maybe we should now add: Kirton In The Rain by Big Block 454 :-)

Also available at RobynHitchcock.com, though it's even more pricey there.

Pete Namlook & Klaus Schhulze - DSotM IX - Set the Controls for the Heart of the Mother
Seriously, so very delightful.
Now:
Prior to that:
Last year was a rough one for my favorite local bands with them and Lookbook both breaking up.

Couldn't wait for the loscil - Reinhardt and Grappelli aren't going anywhere.
I continue to journey through space with Namlook. Jet Chamber 1-5 for the afternoon push.

In snagging the img from Amazon I noticed that you can still by the cassette. For $30! Something tells me Ian McKaye does not approve.
