Pilots and Errors - Broken Hearted Friends free on Bandcamp - clearly influenced by Fleet Foxes (he uses fleet foxes as a tag), with some added chillwhateveryoucallit - but not bad.
Edit: if you check that one out, listen to the last track first.
A Winged Victory for the Sullen, s/t (=Dustin O'Halloran and Adam Wiltzie), and Lumiere by Dustin O'Halloran. I think I have played one or the other or both of these every day for the past week. Both total keepers. Between these and picking up Nest's retold it's been a superior download week. Welcome to my music collection, Dustin O'Halloran.
I downloaded this earlier this year and played it a couple of times (last play 3rd March!) and then promptly forgot about. I saw it in itunes and wondered what it was. I'd forgotten how much I liked it. One of the issues of downloading so much music is that you sometimes forget what you already have

(Les Disques VICTO - 1995)
Thanks Greg, I will check it out.
Do Make Say Think - Winter Hymn Country Hymn Secret Hymn
When I see the word 'hymn' typed out that many times in that brief of a space it makes it look like a really odd word.

Chelsea Wolfe - Apokalypsis
In a similar vein to Austra and EMA.

Edit: if you check that one out, listen to the last track first.
Staccato du Mal - Sin Destino
Synth pop that is as dark as a black hole.
Craig
Edit; now has some jazz-like moments with trumpet - and weir samples - pretty nice.

Also last played last March! But only played once then - why did I not go back to it then?
Lovely. I think I got this for about $5.60 less than the emusic price at Amie.
