    - This Destination Out catalogue seems like a goldmine:

"A reviewer at Rate Your Music calls these performances the "evil twin" of Keith Jarrett's Köln Concert, which might give you a general sense of what's to come. Tippett's spontaneous compositions use the entire piano: keys, strings, squeaky bench...everything. A music box also gets in there. The songs are possessed of a raw and immense beauty, and need to be heard to be believed."

  • A reviewer at Rate Your Music calls these performances the "evil twin" of Keith Jarrett's Köln Concert

    That's both funny and accurate.

That Destination Out bandcamp page is the kind of thing that proves that the digital age of music has so much wonderful possibilities, getting the dust off largely forgotten music and giving it new life to a vaster segment of the listening public, who can explore to their hearts delight because everything is streamed, and buy in any file format they want, to appeal to the uncaring and the audio-geeks both.
  • Oneohtrix Point Never - Replica

Thanks emusic, for $16.99 in free credit since quitting last month. I'm really re-evaluating things my mother taught me lately. Emu's teaching me that quitters always win, and while I always thought life was not fair, there seems to be a lot of protestors lately who think it should be.
  • "Don't be a quitter!" is a great slogan for smokers.
  • John Maus - we must become the pitiless censors of ourselves

I used that one myself for a while. Then I finally quit.

Let's hear Keith Jarrett do this! (Of course, Jarrett has spent much of his career playing many of these same songs...)

For the second time this month, I picked up what I considered to be an old warhorse, but I found a well made, well balanced album of folk music. This is stunning.
