- An Elisa Luu search on Bandcamp came up with this comp:
- "released 01 February 2010
based upon a couple of books by Giuseppe Conte, this soundtrack features tracks by Garrett Fisher, Elisa Luu, Marco Lucchi, Antonio de Braga, Steve Layton and Sonoro."
I had lost interest in the Pumkins by the time this came out, and I wasn't yet very attuned to downloading things, so this totally flew by me unnoticed. Sounds pretty good now though. Still available free.
@greg I think about that sometimes for music that I listen to for certain tasks: Jazz, classical, electronic, anything without words for when I read, write, grade, etc.
then again I was listening to this at this gym this morning and wondering if I looked kind of crazy laughing to myself:
@Craig, quite. He is developing a history of turning limitations into compositional devices. On the last album it was that he wanted to play late in the night without disturbing folk in the neighboring apartments - that gave rise to the sound of Felt. This time it's having nine available fingers. If he gets stuck for ideas for the next album he's going to have to ask someone to incapacitate him in some way.
Re - comments about music when reading, assessing/grading etc. I need to have something on that I know well, ie something that may not distract me too much, but I have always, since 6th Form (final two years of school) played music when working. I'll often, eg, play a Beatles album then.

Thanks GP!

Thanks, Germanprof! This is the ideal accompaniment to a rainy Friday morning.
Great background music for some work reading - I'm sure though Miles Davis wouldn't have liked the idea of this being background music!

(Three of Panabrite's albums have landed on emusic. Nice stuff. They can be streamed here)
Sounds great though!
I've watched this three times now ... it's brilliant (though it might overstate JD's contribution to urban postmodernism).
Just downloaded, thanks Jonah from Jazz Picks
Quirky, humorous takes on traditional story songs. I'm streaming from True North. Five songs are available at NoiseTrade.
- And:
- I just can't find this album anywhere . . .
Thanks BT
