Well, this cost me 20p (say 30 cents or so)taking into account bonus from emusic, so remind me of it next time I moan about not getting boxed sets cheaply! I've still got two credits left to spend in the next day or so, so if anyone knows of anything similar to this let me know, please.
All 59 tracks, thanks to the return of the unattached credits (though I'm only listening to Disc 3). Can one have too many performances of "Sleepy Time Down South."
Bill Mallonee - Crier, a 6 song EP on Bandcamp. To Reach out to Me will probably not become a classic Christmas carol, but it should.
"you opened up a clinic, when you came of age
healed the sick at no expense, you were all the rage
you made the rounds at weddings, and you always brought the wine
you hung with the finest sinners, they thought you were divine."
Part of the whomping great Max Roach Mercury Sessions box that's over at Guvera, which will soon be all mine now that comp DLs have returned. This set is notable for inclusion of a tuba in the ensemble!
According to the Danish news, the Mayan calender ended 8 hours ago in Denmark and I feel very much alive
But, like, do you have any, like, actual Mayans in Denmark? Don't you, like, need Mayans around for the Mayan calender to end? Are there at least some Taco Bells, or Chi Chi's?
I'm sure there are some very nice chi chi's in Denmark, but they're mostly put away for winter.
But anyway the world doesn't end until 11:11 UTC, which is about when I have to get up for the day. Judging by how I usually feel about getting up, I will most likely feel a bit of gratitude if the world does end then.
- Hmmm ? . . . We do have church bells and tai chi chicks:
- not exactly the same, but close . . .
Anyway, NP: Noveller: Live at WFMU with Liz Berg September 12 2011
- "Noveller's beautiful layered compositions will leave you in a state of wonder. How does one woman make all of these lovely and jarring sounds all at once? How can she do it with just one electric guitar? Sarah Lipstate, the woman behind the guitar, graces the WFMU studio with a taste of her signature slow-burn songs that build to joyous noisy symphonies. Noveller's new album "Glacial Glow" (Saffron / Weird Forest) is aptly titled and a recent fave of Liz's. Tune in to drown yourself in the pretty noise!"
Ten minutes past the end of the world and I'm still able to listen to this lovely album:
I would like to help things along by playing all the demonic music I possess, but it's Friday, I'm tired, the boy has the day off and wants pancakes. So:

Pfork's list reminded me of this album from this year that I really like but almost forgot about.

New Weird Australia - Western Schism
It's 12/21/2012 in Australia now. I wonder if the world's ended there? Nanker? ddddddanmar? Are you still there?
At BN; this one is not Guvera, is free and seriously good!
NWA is a great label, I will check it out as soon as I can get this one out of my ears:
- Really groundbreaking stuff. I wonder how I missed it way back then . . .

What's the Mystery Science caption going to be for the first photo?

This is a great one from the massive Keith Jarrett catalog, one of the orchestral suites. Yep, Guvera.

- Thanks amc2.
@GP - thanks I will follow-up. Washington DC to Michigan sounds a long way to me from someone living on a relatively small island
