Ha! Before loggin on here, was listening to:

    Marcin Wasilewski Trio - January

-Still don't care as much for this one as I did "Faithful," but it's still nice to come back to from time to time. Looking forward to the trio's upcoming release.

    :-)

I actually like both of them a lot, as well as Trio and the earlier Simple Acoustic Trio recordings. Though I do prefer Faithful.
@jonahpwll - do you have any info on the timeline for the new release? I've been searching after seeing mention somewhere, but their own website was last updated in 2012.
Oh, and the Crow is one of the best in that series. The Black Woodpecker is also excellent.

    Nicolas Bernier - Les Arbres
  • Greg is right, music has taken a back place today, might see an ex Manchester United player come down Tottenham way tonight?

    EDIT:

It's weird. I thought I read somewhere the exact date, but I'm not seeing it in the most likely places. My online ECM listening room doesn't have it listed (or I'm looking right at it, but not seeing it).

I'll let you know when I find something out. I believe the new Anja Lechner, Louis Sclavis and Mark Turner recordings are all due up first, so it'll be at least a handful of weeks before Wasilewski goes up.
  • OK. I had looked in various obvious places too - ECM, the trio's own site, their facebook... glad to hear you've heard of it too, make me think it might really exist.
  • No, it definitely exists...

Marcin Wasilewski Trio w/Joakim Milder - "Spark of Life"

... just can't find the release date anymore. I'll take another browse through ECM Records press-only area.
  • Cool! Thanks for posting that. Greatly looking forward to it.
  • P.S. Joakim Milder put out that Nordic Jazz album that covered the music of Prefab Sprout's Paddy McAloon.

It was called "Quoted Out Of Context."

Write-up and audio at my site, natch... http://www.birdistheworm.com/milder-ps-quoted-out-of-context/

Allegedly Ghostly released this late last year and NOT in the early 80s. I'm not sure I believe that.
