Eta; this is continuing to be great. Here's what TMT said (it was one of their 3d Quarter picks):
Gem Jones wants to say yes. Yes to every juvenile folly, yes to every unrequited love, yes to every slobbering joy, and yes to all the flawed, earthly detritus he shoves into the giddy pile that is Admiral Frenchkiss. His first tape since 2012s Exhaust, its Dadaist world is teeming with life, with dappy keyboard runs, twitching guitar squiggles, transcendently deranged ballads, and implausibly listenable skree. And if his barely categorizable no-wave jazz-pop funk vaudeville-soul teaches us anything, its that yeasaying positivity is enough to inject meaning into the chaos of the universe, or at least enough to inject the chaos of genre-hopping noise with actual tunes. Thats right tunes! So part your lips and say yes. We Will Hunt Down Evil Killers, Vows Cameron
... And just like that it's over; so it's not a serious time commitment.
Thanks for the heads-up on the Early Music Consort of London recording.
I'll have to revisit that one. David Munrow was an incredible genius who
just couldn't deal with his reality. Love this and all the other recordings.
Got this amid the Guveralanche, I think on the recommendation of someone here, listened to it two or three times, found it pleasant, not particularly memorable, but OK. It just came round again in the rotation and I loved it; just listened to it twice through. Funny how some albums have to find the moment when you are ready to hear them.

Discovering I did not listen to this nearly loud enough when I first checked it out.
