Brian McBride - "The Effective Disconnect"
-Drone=y music for first thing in the morning. Amazed at how well this album has held up as my go-to album when the morning bludgeons me with the painful reality that, yes, I do need to get up and go to work. Fuck.
Anyways, gotta remember to look to see if he has any new music. Keep forgetting somehow.
BN - She's very proud of them. I supported AP's Kickstarter and can't tell you how many of her updates included a topless/naked picture of herself. It was a little creepy honestly.
Great/crazy/experimental/unfocused/enlightening/maddening. I guess that about sums it up. AAJ review. I was led to this by the Codona stuff that followed. The more I learn about Cherry, the more interesting he becomes.
Just read P4K's interview with Kevin Shields, so had to put on some My Bloody Valentine. I've been listening to only mbv for the last few months, though, so I figured I'd go back to Loveless.
I've been listening to that same Cherry pretty relentlessly for the last week or so. It was probably going to be the next thing on posted on this thread.
Cherry's Codona trilogy is one of the my favorite all-time music arcs, with the third in the series one of my all-time favorite albums for any genre.
This was very disappointing. A swell looking album booklet that only contained pictures from the movie and a foldout wanted poster of Tarentino with the album info on the other side. On the plus side, It's the first time I heard Brother Dege and it made me think of the old Trinity series of dusters i used to watch back in the '70s.
now-
2 soundtracks to round out the gifts plus a cd version of Dallas Green's City & Colour latest which I picked up earlier at emusic. Pretty lucky to have someone so sweet.
PS Thanks to greg for Over The Rhine
PPS Well, that Baz sure put together a terrific mix. Lots to explore.
PPPS We haven't seen either of those movies yet
@confused, Re Django Unchained - I don't know about that album ( and I haven't seen the movie, but I was blown away by this cover by Shawn James that I heard on Bandcamp. I had to download it after hearing it. you might want to check it out here
Why didn't that hyperlink work? I always have the hardest time posting anything from my ipad. Anyway, search for it at bandcamp. It's worth it.

With all these gifts and freebies and poking around in the garden, it's been tough to keep up. Days are getting shorter so it's time to work on the backlog. This is a great place to start.
