"Last year we were asked to write a tune for the Bond movie Spectre. Yes we were. It didn’t work out, but became something of our own, which we love very much. As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it."
Richmond Fontaine - "You Can't Go Back If There's Nothing To Go Back To"
-Just discovered they have a new album out today! I must've signed up for their email list back in the day. For awhile, I think they may have called it quits. Not sure if this is a final album before doing so. I hope not. One of my favorite non-jazz bands. Son Volt's "Wide Swing Tremolo" is one of those albums that has etched its sounds into my timeline, which I mention only by way of saying how much I love and respect the music of Son Volt and Jay Farrar... but not for nothing, when it comes to delivering emotionally powerful music with evocative imagery with a tuneful delivery, Richmond Fontaine is the very best alt-country band to come out of that post-Uncle Tupelo alt-country surge.

If you like it and want more, I'm happy to give out recommendations on their other albums... all of which are pretty damn amazing.
Stein Urheim - "Stein Urheim"
An Amazon reviewer aptly describes this as "free mood music."
Kongumasa - Kолокол
Johann Johannson, Englabörn, then And In The Endless Pause There Came The Sound Of Bees.
Album out on April 1, 2016
I could use a free mood.
From the Amazon 3.99 sale, so thanks!
Still 89 cents for the whole album at Amazon US, so if you want an hour of airy, abstract drift for a dollar...
Since drip is back alive I rejoined Domino.
