I'm pretty sure this is the best Wire album. ------
Well that's fighting talk for a start, any fule kno it's 154 !! (Insert big smiley here). Which is not to say that Chairs Missing isn't mighty fine of course!
via those nice people at You Tube (can't get to my disc) but this way I get to laugh at the comments. The link to Syd Era Floyd though is a point well made.
I first had Chairs Missing on a cut out bin cassette circa 1993 when I didn't have a lot of music... I first had 154 from that Australian free download place I'm forgetting the name of with a ton of other music, so my opinion's probably slanted. But I stand by it.

I've had 154 as one of my top 3 albums of all time since I got a cassette copy from a mate just after it came out, so despite it taking me years to get a legit copy - yep my view is definitely slanted (and possibly enchanted ;-) I went on to listen to The Ideal Copy and A Bell Is A Cup afterwards, still pushing boundaries albeit maybe different ones.

Again I say, I'll miss the beta streaming.
Guess we'll see what happens with prices - This one's 6.49 currently, 12.49 on the beta

I'm actually listening to hip hop. @cafreema should be here to witness. Though I doubt he would like this one.

Jasper Høiby - Fellow Creatures
Very nice.
A bitw pick from last year.
Despite the cover art, this is excellent.
(I got here via Bird is the Worm and Yazz Ahmed and British jazz concert reviews and female jazz trumpeters... isn't the internet fun?)
Kim Myhr - "Bloom"
Went on a bit of a D.C. Hardcore spree after that article the other day.
This one's free on Bandcamp (as in free, not even NYOP):
