  • I've just started following a chap by the name of RW on You Tube. He has the habit of uploading some really nice full jazz albums. I've been expanding my knowledge of:

    Yusef Lateef - Gong

Mal Waldren - A Touch of the Blues

    And

    Johnny Diani - African Bass

Amongst many others others, but those are all guys I foolishly thought I had a good handle on.
Why if I pay for the premium service on Spotify do I end up listening to You Tube as my streaming service of choice I wonder?

  • And back on the RW You Tube axkxions

I was listening to several of their duo albums from the '80's last month so nice to get closer to the root of their collaboration.

All music improvised, composed and produced by Tout Croche except Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black) written by Neil Young and Jeff Blackburn

Drums on Dead or Fade Away & Burning Mountains by Nicolas Bernier
Drums on Hey Hey, My My by Rodrigo Constanzo

Tout Croche will forever be : Stephen Harvey & Dominic Thibault
  • Bob Marley - Live

One of best live albums recorded in my opinion, the Lyceum in London had one of the best dance floors and was a great place to see gigs, one of those I wished I went to through

With this conceptual album, Tout Croche ventures into deep space where doom meets acouspheric noise through the performance of grainy feedback and noise generating instruments. Like an alien entity that communicates through the complexity of a hybridised culture/society. . . .

Music by Tout Croche, who will forever be Stephen Harvey and Dominic Thibault
  • Chuck Berry - The Great 28

    RIP.
  • Kate Bush - Before the Dawn
  • Actually figured out how to get the Bandcamp app on my phone and stream this album while reading the interview in the latest Wire magazine; this is going it some for me.  Not 100% convinced over all but it's very interesting with some of the arrangements and textures and so forth.
  • Cobalt - Slow Forever

    then Chuck Berry's Golden Hits

The Best of the Icicle Works
Picked this up on a whim from the "free CDs" box at Corner Records yesterday. Used to like a couple of their singles in the 80s.
