Not sure how I found this - did someone here mention it? Various folk here would like it, I think. "A London based Jazz-meets-Afrobeat-meets-Hip-Hop 5 piece." Parts of this one are more like jazz-meets-reggae.
I'm pretty sure I downloaded Otis Clay And Walter Hatchett - When The Gates Swing Open from Emusic (missing tr 1), some years ago but I couldn't find it at Discogs. Must be this one. I'll start tr 1 here...has some sound issues as I recall.
Finally got my hands on this - it had been backordered for a while. Many here would like, I think, not just free-jazzers. The ringing bells in the first piece are very poignant for those of us living in Chicago.
Dominick Fernow ....Thanks to @djh for pointing out Water Witches, I thought I recognized his name. I've only listened to his Prurient side & the one track as Force Publique Congo til that point.
Having a Xavier Naidoo afternoon. Interesting to revisit these. I still think Izon represents a significant decline from Noiz. Telegramm für X remains brilliant, strong lyrically and musically and still by far my favorite of his solo albums.
ETA: @confused It's much more Current 93'ish than Myrninerest'ish. - So you'll have to like C93 to like this one (me thinks)
I downloaded it that same day and just waiting to fit it in. I was thinking Ts but that may take a while. Meanwhile, I really enjoyed Dominick Fernow's Dark Ambient side now on to some Techno...I'm familiar with Function so I'll start there.
Ps. That Function album was not as techno as I thought it would be but it made for a great transition into some thumping. Lots more to explore. Thanks again to djh.

John Oliver - Cool Take (NYOP)
With thanks to @brighternow from last March.
Parts of this are fun; other parts are kind of annoying.
