Christmas songs, lots and lots of Christmas songs. Made the foraging trip into the external hard drive to retrieve a bunch of Holiday genre albums of various types which during the rest of the year get banished from iTunes on the desktop to make room for other stuff. Of course now that I'm not downloading from eMu anymore it is sort of a moot point. Anyhow just getting around to some of the holiday stuff I downloaded from them before I skeedaddled. Bonus for me - now that the wife isn't working retail anymore I can actually play Christmas music at home. Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukkah, everyone.
Ten years of live performances (2009-2019). A one hour mix featuring
clips from live performances in New York City, London, Amsterdam,
Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Seattle, Munster and more. A free download to
celebrate the live actions that have taken place across the globe. And,
of course, hopefully more to follow in the future. All unreleased
material for you to enjoy ?
These two long form immersions were created within the last week and
finished yesterday afternoon Dec. 20. It’s an up-to-the-moment
expression of where I am dwelling within right now.
As the ebb and flow of this year starts to melt into the next, the
reflections of 2019 mix with a calm anticipation of the future,
nourished by a sense of serenity in waves emanating from the deep end of
the Soundcurrent and beyond for me at this point in time.
This is a gift of gratitude to you for your connection to and support of music I live to create.

Well, once again, this is probably cheating but I'm doing it anyway. "Jazz" has always been a small part of my library as my oldest brother was/is the jazz guy in our family. At any rate, as I've been going through my iTunes and using Emusic to add albums from artists I've enjoyed, I came across this album https://www.emusic.com/album/201590656/Mal-Waldron/Airegin. 39 tracks listed alphabetically from Airegin to You Stepped Out Of A Dream. Upon investigation, it appears those tracks completed these albums with a few exceptions. Mal/2 is missing trk 2 J.M's Dream Doll, Mal/4 Trio is missing trks 5,6&7 but has a version of J.M's Dream Doll on it and Left Alone is missing trk 6 Mal Waldron: The Way He Remembers Billie Holiday. The trk times I could verify appear to be correct so I've added them to iTunes as if they are from these albums. Plus, Thanks to @Germanprof who introduced me to Mal Waldron with The Seagulls Of Kristiansund-Live At The Village Vanguard a few years back...a most enjoyable listen!! This is how my Sunday goes....
A slightly Christmassy live recording featuring a sample from Eeriel (an early ISAN release from '99) which was based on a recording of some 1st grade children singing Silent Night. Played on the Elektron Digitakt, accompanied by the Korg Volca Modular. And some sleigh bells. - Release date: 21 December 2019
Joseph Alfred - Hoddmímis Holt released December 22, 2019
Well, that would be most generous if you're able to. I really enjoyed what I heard this morning. Thanks again for all your help. Mal/2 is missing trk 2 J.M's Dream Doll, Mal/4 Trio is missing trks 5,6&7 Too Close For Comfort, By Myself & Love Span and Left Alone is missing trk 6 Mal Waldron: The Way He Remembers Billie Holiday.
I started a Mal Waldren education not all that long ago myself. I've got most of the albums you posted but there's a couple from the early period that I still need.
However the real reason for my comment was the great fun I've had with albums where he plays with Steve Lacy - seemingly two more different players it would be hard to imagine and yet it works fine.
This is a set based around Monk tunes and no one worries a Monk lune quite like Steve Lacy did.
I've also recently discovered this album which is much more in the pocket but a delight and with bonus Manfred Schoof on trumpet.
Both can be heard on YouTube and probably a zillion other places.
Cheers
Dave
PS - Just found out that One-Upmanship was recorded at Conny Plank's studio; it'd be interesting to find out what other jazz & related albums were birthed in the nest of Krautrock!
