Sadly, I missed this post. 1 year older and just before my birthday. I've only just noticed his passing on the Discogs profile. Another noisy sad loss of a most interesting artist.
Geoff Emerick - the name may not be familiar, but you will have heard some of the music he engineered, including Sergeant Pepper, Beatles White Album and Band on the Run. An innovator in his time
Just been finishing off a zine when I heard. Steve Diggle was from around my area and I was close to Manchester in 77-84. A great loss; punk + love songs = perfect pop. Sadly missed. I am going to have a small tincture. Or "BOLLOCKS!!!" as we English might say.
Sorry to see this, but he did leave a considerable mark with November. I'll have to bring that out again today. After yesterday's Radigue box, I'll be in minimalist air again - acoustic, this time.
