My "wife's account" had 6, my early beta original account only had 2. I finished Jackie McLean's New and Old Gospel, grabbed Gene Ammons' Happy Blues and 2/3's of Jammin' with Gene (both feature Jackie McLean).
My first account has a user number of 49597, the second account is in the low 100K range. I really doubt that there are 49K worth of users before me, or that 50K signed up since I began.
"Always go for the freebies, son. But only if they're DRM-free, and encoded at a decent bitrate."
And over 10 minutes per track!
Seriously, there's no reason anyone's children should not have an account. Any member of the family who is subjected to advertising should be the kind of person Guvera wants. Personally, I don't want to open an account for anyone unless the activity would reflect the persons interests. If I did an account for my son, I would feel obligated to DL music for him, which would be too much of a pain on Guvera (too many tracks per album). Although I am the one doing the DL'ing for my wife's account, it's always music that she wants and likes (though I might move things I like too up the list).
My six were still there this morning. Started getting the Stone Roses' second album, "Second Coming". Lost 2 credits on bad tags for the first four tracks listed.
Ah well, maybe next month I'll get the rest of the tracks from it. The Guvera facebook page said they're "working on getting everybody more free tracks", as of 22 October.
Huh. We shall see.
I checked Guvera last night after reading here about more free tracks. I had been checking almost every day, but nada, so it had probably been almost a week since last check. Last night? Still nothing.
Trick Or Treat! Logged in to find all my channels gone except Demo so that hopefully means new listings - and credits - will appear later today or tomorrow. Happy Halloween.
waaaaaiittt a minute. Have I been missing free download from playlists?
I had been searching for songs I wanted, clicking download, then I get taken to a page that shows me channels that have credits.
I just pick one of those and it gets added to that channel's playlist.
THEN I download the one I chose.
For some reason, if I clicked on the Geico channel it said I had 2 downloads but if I clicked on a song I wanted to d/l the Geico channel wouldn't appear as an option. I finally edited the URL directly to get it to work. Finally finished Tom Jones's latest!
thom, that's the same thing I do with the Geico credits. It wasn't showing up in the list of channels to download from, so I figured out how to edit the url when I have the Geico credits available. Unfortunately this last time I was finally subject to download errors and lost my two credits.

She seems particularly excited about this Grant Green/Sonny Clark set.

Occasionally they have other more limited freebies, but the September special aside they are far and few between.
I got 2 Geico and 1 Sprint.
They have changed the search/album pages, seems to take an extra step to see if you have any credits.
They have also posted a link to send to friends, which enters you in a contest to win a bunch of DLs.
