@dddanmar since New Year's everything has been working perfectly. Not only the credits (which have been fine for awhile) but all downloading. Including some albums that never worked before.
Not sure if you guys made changes or it all just started to work, but thanks either way!
Not there's necessarily anything that can be done, but here's a list of albums that won't download for me:
JD McPherson - Signs & Signifiers
John Abercrombie - Timeles
Jack DeJohnette's Special Edition - Album Album
Jack DeJohnette's Special Edition - Tin Can Alley
Jan Garbarek/Charlie Haden/Egberto Gigmonti - Folk Songs
Terje Rypdal - Odyssey
Delta Spirit - Delta Spirit
Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Dave Holland - Like Minds
I also got "media not found" on "Deadbeat" by A Place to Bury Strangers and the entire latest album from Taylor Swift.
@thom and others - FWIW I have tried several times (over a period of weeks) to download "The Good, The Bad & The Queen" album and it never works. I don't lose any credits, it just won't download. I contacted Guvera customer service; they responded very quickly - said they were looking into it and asked if I had lost any credits (I don't believe I have) - but have not fixed the problem nor responded back to my last email. Not that I haven't found other things to download...
fwiw, no probs DL'ing for me this morning, on albums that are none of the above.
I am an all-day sucker for these big jazz sets - Most of these Capitol (Mosaic) sets are unfortunately not complete on Guvera, although this one is. (For some of the others, longer tracks can be had at Amazon.)
@Rudie - Yeah, I should let CS know directly. I started the list here because I was losing track of which albums I was having trouble with and would keep trying them over and over again. I lose credits regularly, but over a few weeks they had built up to well over 300 so no big deal.
I'm now basically downloading anything people recommend without bothering to listen to more than 15 seconds or so of samples. Grabbed Singing Sands, the debut from Magazine, and that album with the hot redhead someone posted. Why not?
@thom - I LOVE Magazine - I'd recommend any of their four main albums (I never looked them up on Guvera because I have everything). If you get into them they also have the Howard Devoto solo album Rainy Season (which I did grab from Guvera). It's more hit-and-miss, although I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet. Like you, I'm grabbing what I can and will sort it out if/when the downloads slow down.
I'm downloading other folks' recs with abandon too. Was at a hotel last night with faster Internet than at home -grabbed a hundred-plus tracks, so only a couple of hundred credits to play with now :-).
Seriously, I need more recs.
@Rudie - Magazine sounds like a band I should have gotten into a while ago, yet somehow missed. I've enjoyed what I sampled of Real Life. Is it safe to presume that you're speaking in chronological terms with the 4 main albums? Secondhand Delight, Play, and The Correct Use of Soap?
Not sure if this is really a rec, but while hopping from artist to artist and label to label from Alva Noto I came across this one on Guvera:
Seems pretty cool, I'll probably d/l when I get the chance.
I'm in the same boat, looking for recs, so I thought I'd post a list of all the bands I've downloaded from Guvera over the past 2+ years. I have a Guvera playlist in iTunes so it's easy to keep track. Hope it helps with suggestions for some of you, and if anybody else wants to do the same, I'd appreciate it. Can't promise all of these are still available, since albums seem to come and go on Guvera, but most of them probably are.

@thom - instead of Play (a live album that is OK) I was thinking of Magic, Murder and the Weather as the fourth. A little less consistent, but if you are into them you should find plenty to like. Correct Use of Soap is my personal favorite if that is available.
@thom, thanks for that glitch album find - heads up though, the first track is actually a continuous mix of the whole album. Anyone who wants the album for one download, get that one. Some good dance oriented tracks on here.
Thanks, Doofy. I grabbed some Jam earlier in the process - you're right, should go back for some more. Don't know the others - yet .
On the topic of downloading from brief samples, I grabbed the whole Herbie NIchols box set on your(?) rec after sampling one track.
Dukes of Stratosphear was a post-XTC project by...the same guys who were in XTC! Just discovered the Codona set myself, among the not-a-few Don Cherry offerings available.
@Rudie - thanks for the clarification. Will make my way through them tonight hopefully.
@GP - A few of those artists also have albums on G, so poke around.
I'll have to get the Dukes, too. Sadly all but one of XTC's albums had disappeared from G last I checked. Not a big deal for me as I had already made my way through just about everything, but a bummer for those interested now.
