...this finds the illustrious Robin Storey, aka Rapoon, building upon a formidable catalog of arch sonic ritualism, feral looping, and ragged, primordial atmospherics.
- "A wonderful audience recording of The Dots in Paris on Sunday 13 April,2014. Venue was Le Klub , a tiny but very special club not so far from The Louvre. A big thank you to LIo who programmed the Dots for a second time and to Renaud who recorded this show so well."
- A truely wonderful album, Released in 2011 on three Legs Duck Netlabel by: "Category Errors" is a collection of mixes and mashes assembled from works submitted from around the world to the weekly ImprovFriday sessions. I am indebted to the 20 wonderful musicians who have allowed me to be so reckless with their creativity. . . .
- "Richard Sanderson is an improvising musician based in London, he has recorded with the groups Ticklish (with Phil Durrant, Kev Hopper and Rob Flint), Minnow (with Kelsey Michael, John Edwards, Mark Sanders, Gail Brand and others) and in duos with Mark Spybey and Steve Beresford. He has recorded for several labels including Grob, Textile, Qbico, Lens and Duophonic. He has performed at festivals of experimental music in London, Austria, Denmark, France, Germany and Holland.
He also dances and plays with Blackheath Morris Men.
''We drink to forget the coming storm'' is collection of forty tracks released on my fortieth birthday.
For just forty days and forty nights it is available for free (and for a donation) as a thank-you for your support and interest in my works.
For those wishing to pay for this album you can.
As this is released for my birthday I would suggest the price of a birthday whisky to be a fair price for this collection should you wish to pay. Then I feel we will raise the virtual glass connected together for good health and fortunes.
Running in total at over three hours. It is not a fixed release and should be used sparingly in your own favourite track combinations.
It can be used to uplift on the low days, to gain strength and clear the mind. Each track combines the same elements piano, digital strings and synthesized choir. There are dark twists and light passages. It leads you somewhere whilst going nowhere.
A reflection of a time passing, a glimpse back into my own past, a look forward into the forthcoming abyss. Recorded through the darkest night hours during periods of disillusionment. There were no second takes, so we enjoy the errors and misadventures.
Like life itself wrong notes may be hit, there maybe the odd distortion, melodies drift and we hope to gain strength from the introspective nature of the work. We cover no new ground. We wear our hearts on our sleeves.
Wishing you all the best from Krakow where I raise the glass of good spirit.

- "Originally released on CD in 2001 and re-released in 2005 through Webbed Hand Records in an abbreviated version with other similar tracks. Here is the composition in it's entirety: re-edited and remastered.
"The title of Pelicagnosis is no empty play on words. These four tracks do venture quite some distance into the realm of gnosis. Here is a blend of ambient sounds with addition of guitar, vocals, and other instruments, resulting in a feast for the ears.
A look at the credits for each track will show you that this isn't a weekend warrior laptop production. This thing is big, and there's a depth and devotion being expressed here that merits a deep and devoted listening."
"Simply beautiful and amazing music from Mayfairgrin... Wonderful electronic manipulation of otherwise normal sounds provides some of the best combinations of dark and surreal travels you can find in music today!"
A continually morphing, unfolding aural adventure. Suffused with spirituality-- the more you listen, the more you get--"

I think this deserves cross-posting here. Delightful duets for Koto and Mbria. Recommended. Link is to the bandcamp stream, can be purchased cheaper elsewhere, including emusic.
Joe Frawley has a new album, Satyrinae. Edit: This is more ambient piano, less a "sound collage" than his previous albums. It reminds me a bit of Goldmund.
The Dogon Lights, Afro- galactic groove magma from the Bay Area. The Dogon Lights create a shamanic and energetic dance atmosphere that takes the listener straight to the stars. Traditional skin and wood instruments are blended with electro hip hop beats and Jimi Hendrix inspired guitar with vocals in Spanish and African languages.
Thanks a bunch. I noticed earlier today that I actually have it,
but for some reason, I transferred it to 192 mp3 back in June of '09,
so this is nice to have in flac. Now I'm wondering how different it is
from my realization. Will listen tonight. Thanks again!
This piece was created in these last few days leading up to the Blood Moon night of October 8th. So much of my work is born from the deep end of the night immersion. Staying aware of the moons many phases, from full to new has always been a part of my creative undercurrent so the opportunity to acknowledge this moment in time made this piece flow forth with out a question. Tuning into this Blood Moon feeling mixed with that sense of the seasons change in the air right now is inside this piece for me, and now I quietly offer it up to the moon and to you in this more spontaneous way only through Bandcamp.
All my best

Evening of Oct 7
My oh my ! ! !
The Legendary Pink Dots have just posted The Swedish Radio Special "tape" from 1989.
This tape was my very first encounter with The Dots.
One of my dear friends recorded it from the Swedish national radio and gave me a copy with sheer excitement.
- Truely magic stuff, and I don't think it's just because of it's historical value for me personally.
- I've been a die hard fan ever since . . .
. . . "This is an exciting time. We all know it could literally finish within seconds, or it could finish within a thousand years, maybe . . .
- But this is an exciting time, cherish it, enjoy it and Sing While You May."
Edward Ka-Spel - 1989.
- Of all the countless Dots recommendations from me over the years, this is the one to follow up on.
The Legendary Pink Dots - Walls Of Snow - The Swedish Radio Special "A big thank you to Anders Ilar who literally sent me this rare recording this afternoon (2 November, 2014). It features LPDs live in Sundsvall in 1989 on Swedish Radio plus a little interview. Quality is high , but be sure the sound of that raging crowd you hear at the beginning was for a different band. The brutal truth is that maybe 30 people saw the show after a spectacular 10 hour drive through Sweden in the middle of Winter.Indeed there were literally walls of snow lining the route. Still it was worth it - the hardy souls who showed up treated us well.."
Parking this here to check out later. "tags: ambient cinematic indie instrumental post-rock rock Haarlem" I have a previous thing of theirs I like from Amie Street or some damn place.
- "Cuneiform in 2014, its 30th year features about 400 titles in its catalogue. These releases cover a broad stylistic range, from experimental rock to avant-progressive, avant-jazz and jazz improvisation, electronic/ambient/noise, and much much more. From classical minimalism to chamber rock, Rock in Opposition to Weird Americana, jazz/pop to jazztronica, Cuneiform has explored a wide world of cutting edge music and especially, music beyond genre and genres-yet-to-be-defined. The common denominator of all releases on this uncommon, artist-friendly label is the singularity and consistent high-quality of its artists. Cuneiform's innovative composers and improvisors create music true to their unique visions and their unfettered visions often defy, reshape, and transcend prior genre boundaries, transforming the musical landscape of jazz, or rock, or New Music/contemporary classical for generations to come.
Cuneiform released 20 albums of high-quality, genre-defiant music in 2014, the largest number of albums weve ever released in a single year! They range from jazz/post-jazz/beyond genre (Anthony Pirog; Dylan Ryan/Sand; Raoul Bjorkenheim/Ecstasy; The Microscopic Septet; Led Bib; Ideal Bread; Joel Harrison; The Ed Palermo Big Band; Thumbscrew[Halvorson/Formanek/Fujiwara]); to avant-rock/Rock in Opposition/electroc-ambient-noise (remastered reissues of Roger Trigauxs Present; Richard Pinhas & Oren Ambarchi; Richard Pinhas & Yoshida Tatsuya; Mats/Morgan; Sonar; Jonathan Badger; Happy Family)."
The Legendary Pink Dots - How To Promote A Live Grenade.
- For the serious Dots connoisseur ,we include here The Dots' part in the infamous "Shed Sounds Sampler" ,which was a promotional cassette issued by In-Phaze Records back in 1983. Essentially this was a fabulous cut-up of "Curse" created by label boss (and engineer extraordinaire) Pat Bermingham. Pat owned an 8-track console (bought from Pink Floyd's Nick Mason) and he was simply a master of the controls. This was incidentally Cevin Key's introduction to the Pink Dots and it intrigued him enough to seek contact with EK- we all know what happened next...
Also here is the bizarre and epic LPDs' side of "Tryst 7" (or at least one of the mixes...I believe there were two). This beast saw a frightening meeting of minds with Big City Orchestra and LPDs creating the' collage to end ALL collages.Every copy of this cassette which emerged was unique, but all spewed out a mountain of chaos on the carpet once the unwary purchaser dared to open that plastic bag.
Yes we now live in the digital age...a TIDIER age...but somewhere I miss that sheer chaos..
