Some of the songs I previously mentioned are prayerful: Sound of Silence, Fireflies, and even parts of Clocks. Although they are not religious songs, they convey a sense of awe and sacredness. While I got so tired of Madonna that I got rid of my Madonna CDs, there is still one song by her that I still appreciate, Like a Prayer. It can also be heard in a cover by Tori Amos, an artist I've never grown tired of.
This just popped up during a random walk of my music library. I had forgotten how much I loved this song... went to youtube found this awesome video for it: Donnie Iris - Ah! Leah!
