Munich-based Artrock-Pop-Electro collective in the shape of a big band. Venturing deep into unknown sonic territory. Brazen birdsongs dissolve into delirious drumrolls. New Orleans splendor and blastbeats become blood brothers. Feathery vocal elegies and orchestral pathos rock each other to madness. And right in the middle the wildly pounding heart of a band creating its very own musical cosmos.
I grabbed this random disc before I left the house this afternoon. All I had written on it was Lassazo I. It turned out to be:
Soleil d'hiver by Lessazo, a Franco-Malian group. It's a good record of light World Beat music with some Nigerian-influenced guitar. Mostly it's in French, but there is the lyric, "She don't want to suck me." OK.
It's still on Free Music Archive.
ETA: A quick search shows that this was bounced around here a lot, but apparently discovered by Plong!
