    Summery daydreaming.

One of this months $5 albums at Amazon. Great album for a humid day, and relatively adventurous for a renowned conservative musician.
  • Earth - the Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull
  • Bathory - Blood Fire Death
  • Bon Iver - Bon Iver, Bon Iver (Bon Iver?)
  • St. Vitus - Born Too Late

Excited to find this for half-off when casually browsing Borders ystrdy....I imagine it will be my last Borders purchase ever.

Also the Norton Critical Edition of Hamlet for 3 bucks, but that's a different message board...
  • loving -- loving -- this.

You know, for a various artists sampler this hangs together really well. Well-chosen and well-sequenced. Good stuff. And free at emusic.

And the sampler (above) does its job. Really enjoyed the two tracks from Radio Massacre International, and found out the other 3 on the album are .89 each at Amazon. If you like stuff in the tradition of earlier Tangerine Dream I recommend this. Use the Index03 link above to get the two free tracks if you don't mind shorter edits of them (more like extracts - the full album tracks are more than twice as long). Otherwise the whole is $4.45 at Amazon.

Lazy day today with time to browse = bought one album, added 14 to my SFL. Some sifting to do.

Older release just added to emusic. Quite delicious. Very like later Labradford.
  • Clams Casino - Instrumental Mixtape - Craig, I could see you liking this one; try to dig it up if you haven't yet. In the words of George Costanza "clams casino - chef recommends!"

Thanks to whoever recc'd this freebie (probly Jonah), any mainstream jazz fan will enjoy. He's a great 'quoter,' and since he's a young guy, he brings a lot of fun new quotes to the party.

Working on my laptop today...I want to get today's Cymbals Eat Guitars freebie, so I gotta install the new DLM!
  • Times New Viking - Dancer Equired
  • amclark2 - I've been meaning to dig up that mixtape, but just haven't gotten around to it. I'll push it up the list.

  • Lil Wayne - Da Drought III - lots of free mixtapes at DatPiff.com - low bit rates (128k) but it's a good place to check stuff out.
  • Bob Ostertag - Voice of America - http://www.bobostertag.com/music-recordings-voiceofamerica.htm I know I owe this to somebody here, but forgot who. Brighternow maybe? Well, thanks whoever.

Fun and danceable, but I'd rather listen to the other one. Nothing that memorable. Thanks Spotify...
  • @Daniel, Esq. Agree, that earth album is wonderful. Haven't been able to get into the sequel as much.
