Similar to true egressives, this 20 minute ambient work by Off Land steadily flows through air streams and channels of sound. The backbone of this piece was forged from a one minute recording of the sound of a cat purring, creating the background tonal noise. On top of this is a layered drone-scape composition of piano, synths, and minimal percussion.
That certainly was electrifying. The link is to the freshly dropped thread. I wish I had listened to this before I quit emusic. I can see it won't be long until I sign up again.
-I fucking love this album. "Wintermusik" is still my favorite Frahm thing, but this is a strong second place. I can't wait until I get to hear it on a Winter Saturday morning with the snow falling.
@confused That Oene Van Geel is in a nifty group called Estafest. They're album "Eno Supo" received some BitW consideration for that year's Best Of list...

Continuing to troll through some old unlistened Amie St stuff; this one's a Bay Area band that claims to blend jazz, prog and new age. I'm enjoying it. http://www.soundclick.com/mobile/default.cfm?bandid=279919
