I am stuck in the middle of a flight itinerary with delays that have added almost 24 hours to an already long trip. By the time I get to Adelaide, assuming the latest set of flights are on time, the journey will have lasted a bit over 50 hours and taken me through multiple cities not on my original itinerary and three extra flights. I am hoping my luggage is along for the ride but not counting on having clothes when I get there. I will now arrive half way through the first morning of a seminar for teachers that I am supposed to be leading. Staying sane involves working through a prog playlist I loaded. Listening so far has included: Gordian Knot - Emergent Cosmograf - Mind over Depth Blackfield - Blackfield Camel - Breathless Dream Theater - Falling into Infinity Sanguine Hum - Diving Bell Neal Morse - Testimony The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium Chroma Key - Dead Air for Radios Transatlantic - More Never is Enough
Up next, Riverside, Pineapple Thief, OSI, Spock’s Beard, Steve Hackett, Yume Bitsu, Robert Wyatt, Porcupine Tree, Charts and Maps, Big Big Train, & The Flower Kings.
On the Musea label from the mid eighties; based around the psych sludge prog bass of Shub Niggurath and friends. Now I'm wishing I hadn't thrown out all my cassettes years ago and so still had their live album that Auricle (the Freeman Bros,) put out. Not that I'd have any way of playing it ;-)
1976 Canadian Prog Psych Jazz Folk (according to some listings)
From a period when certain blogs were teaching me about some of the grear fun weirdness coming mainly out of Quebec in the mid '70s. This is somewhat all over the place but a good listen regardless.
