Christopher Cerrone - The Pieces That Fall To Earth
"... like peeping in someone's window at night, this album turns the
listener into a voyeur. The tales of desire and loss swim in an
imaginative bed of swirling electronics. Unique and Powerful."
Ras G died yesterday. Big loss. So, I made a Random Radio Mixcloud mix, but they said that it can’t be heard in the US (and maybe other countries too) because I had too many tunes by the same artist (Ras G - duh), so apparently tribute mixes aren’t allowed. I deleted it, but I'm listening to it now.
Most welcome. I've only just finished listening to the Frankenstein Symphony as it quit raining yesterday and I headed outside to take care of some things. Still a terrific listen! (it started sprinkling as I got home from work today so I had some more ass time). Plus, I couldn't help but notice that one of the folks on the Hardy Fox tribute is J.G. Thirlwell...so Foetus (J.G. Thirlwell)
Following the off the wall debut release ‘Horizons/Rapture’ via Blood & Biscuits in April, The Physics House Band present HORIZONS/RAPTURE REMIXED. Horizons/Rapture: Remixed: An EDM led journey of joyous re-discovery, crafted by 7 forward thinking artists/producers including Ital Tek, Three Trapped Tigers & My Panda Shall Fly, all delivering their own interpretations of The Physics House Band’s widely revered debut EP tracks. . . .
When I look for images like this on Amazon, it makes me realise how much great music on new releases I am missing now that eMusic no longer carries lables like Criss Cross Jazz. I've discovered that Alex Sipiagin had a new album out in April that I'll need to follow up on one of the streaming services.

Link goes to Bandcamp. Was going to strongly recommend to those looking to burn eMusic credits, but it's gone of course
One of those albums in our collection that you never play but is really good, great fix of soul and jazz
Blood Orange - Freetown Sound. See Lowlife at 9.05 above - I'd never heard of this, reviews sound good so I am about to start streaming
