Jørgen Teller (b. 1958) is a composer and musician and has created
soundtracks for international dance and performance events, theatre,
poetry, video, film, architecture and radio. His works have been
presented at numerous concerts and in theatre/performance productions
and intermedia events in Europe, Japan, and North America. In 1999 he
took the initiative for SSSHHHHH ..., the first Sound Biennale in
Copenhagen.
- Jørgen was often in the line-up whenever David Moss was visiting Copenhagen, back in the days when I was a "Copenhagener" . . . great musician !

In memory of all victims who have died as a result of epidemics worldwide. The
starting point was to use the Kyma system to create the sound of 40 of
the largest pandemics in history. The Kyma super computer can generate
the newest synthesis techniques. Roland Kuit developed new models for
every pandemonium forming a viral networks. This 4.2 hour work should be
sent to 4 sound columns that distribute the microtonal frequencies
quadraphonically, creating a spatial movement. Tomorrow morning at 00:00
a YouTube premiere (stereo) of this sound art.

I like the idea of linking "pandemic" to "pandem(on)ic." Of course, a small part of me is wondering how each pandemic is differentiated in sound ... but a larger part just wants to bask in it. Only at #03 now, but can see myself listening completely thru. Thanks!
