Back aftrer a week holiday in Jordan a month ago. We both caught bugs and are only just getting back to normal. i've been playing some early Bob Dylan today
One of several recent new releases from Wil Bolton, who seems to have hit a productive spell. This one's not out yet but there is a sampler and a first track. When the description said:
After a long run of ethereal ambient LPs, Wil was encouraged by The Slow Music Movement Label to create a beat-led, ambient electronic release.
my first reaction was "OK, I guess I'll skip this one." My general view of adding beats to ambient music is "just don't."
But this sounds really good. Looking forward to the full release now.
Thanks for the heads up on this one, I've slowly been finding out more about Ron Carter's later work. I have to say this album is all over the place (i.e. a bit of a mess) but I like it a lot, great sense of fun what with the light touch on various styles.
@confused That Madar album is a big favorite here. Bought purely because of the cover as I wasn't at the time a Garbarek fan - which I've been seeing a doctor about and I'll be OK soon!
Easily my favorite of the most recent Longform Editions batch. The artist's description of the piece on the bandcamp page is also very thoughtful and for once really captures well what the piece is doing when I listen to it.

It's now a favourite of mine as well. I really enjoyed all the new additions!!
I originally got these from archive.org but they were also added to Bandcamp this year. Jan Grünfeld Ich Liebe EsSummerfugl A TraceMusic for plants nyop I live in Halle, Germany and was born in 1970. Thanks to @Lowlife - It also sent me looking through the vinyl for Mississippi Fred McDowell. I've always had a soft spot for those guitar players.

Rather spooky and rather good, even if the cover art does make me think of Pepto Bismol.
