“23 Skidoo” from the album “Coaxed Out From Oxford” by Here And Now
Here And Now formed as a group in 1974 and teamed up with Daevid Allen (of Gong fame) to form Planet Gong for a couple of years in the late 70s. They were still going strong into the 2000s.

Also, as previously mentioned, don’t miss their excellent album “Seven Songs”. To quote AMG “This is post-punk at its most invigorating and terrifying”
I'm listening to a Christmas prsent - the Beatles White Album on Vinyl, my first 'new' LP since getting my turntable. Sounds different from the rematered CD, but I would say neither is superior to the other.
All that wracking my poor old brainz regarding matters 23 had me feeling that I was missing something obvious. And I was, namely Roger Waters cynical appropriation of Psalm 23. Animals I went out and bought because I thought punk had sold out and wanted to do something anti-punk. I ended up buying Animals probably the most nihalistic album in my collection.

@jonahpwll thanks for your intro to Ray Horwitz which I really enjoyed.
It got me in to listening to The Lounge Lizards and their album "Voice of Chunk" which AMG describes as "Madhouse jazz for the unhinged"!
"Voice of Chunk" was literally the next album I listened to after the Horvitz and Previte recordings. Been revisiting a lot of early 90s mod jazz albums lately.
Now on:
Lonnie Liston Smith - "Astral Traveling"
Really thinking I'm going to re-collect Smith's 70's cosmic jazz and soul jazz recordings
Enjoyed revisiting an Aaron Goldberg concert recording (Paris 2007) that I now cannot find anywhere to link it or pull art...can't remember where I found it either...but it's quite nice.
Walking home after a swim on a beautiful, sunny Melbourne summer morning (25 deg C) with the beach in front of me. Suddenly, I was 18 again singing “Good Vibrations”, “California Girls”, “Surfer Girl” and “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” at the top of my voice! Really!!!
Well, it's a comfortable -6C with a light snow falling this morning. Much nicer than the -30C spell we had for a couple of weeks. Not quite tanning time in the clockwise side just yet. Bootsy's Rubber Band
