Just getting around to giving this a proper listen. 4 x lock-down e.p.s presented as a double cassette. The first tape, which is the title track, is split into four tracks or emanations each lasting exactly 23 minutes. Witchy! Also v. appropriate for this thread. Sort of a modern take on The Incredible String Band with added Hauntology or at least that's how they started out some years back. Floating collective from Ireland. Eight members this time out.
Three for Sunday Morning, actually 1 mini album and 6 other albums.
Off to set the recorder for the Superbowl tonight. I may be retired now but I still can't stay up late to watch the game. I used to love taking the Monday off and watching the game from around 10a.m. cracking at least one beer per quarter obviously.
@confused I love all three of those Chris Watson releases.
Me too!! I enjoyed yesterday's listen so much I needed another go. I love listening to all these while working in the garden and during the winter they remind me how much I enjoy being there. Just to be clear, I don't usually hear too many cheetahs, elephants, spider monkeys or water buffalos in the yard.
Diapasonarchive.org Diapason is a light and sound installation, presented in 2002 at the singuhr-hörgalerie in parochial, Berlin. Three fields of white pigmented loudspeakers glow in the dark and give light to the architecture of an ancient beltry. The sounds used in the composition are recordings of fifteen different tuning forks between 64 and 2048 hertz, originally use for medical purposes. The sounds have not been altered electronically. Christina Kubisch has been a major influence for me. We met years ago in Austria and she was so nice. After wearing a pair of her specially-crafted headphones and walking the streets and inside various buildings of Linz, my perspective changed in such a way that I started exploring electromagnetic sound continuously afterwards.
