I had to put this on after Arcade Fire's treatise. Sure, AF's album is good, but thematically formal and academic. They could have put Debord to music for all the attention to conformity. At least Folds tried to imagine rebellion within (but not against) suburban living.
Had no clue this one had a Shawn Lee track on it, too. This was a great set of comps from UK label Wall of Sound. I have the first 2, but never saw the third (or more, if there were any).

Kitsune Noir Mixcast / No.040
Always a good way to hear tunes new and old.
(because of the alleged connection)
(well and also because it's so darn good)
Sweet, lo-fi, and tropical. Reminiscent of David Byrne.
Various Artists - 3X20 [Colours]
A great mix/sampling of Indie songs and one of the better impulsive purchases I made at some record convention way back when.
Just about perfect for a rainy New England morning.
Picking the pace up slightly.
Breakbeats + Afrobeat == Afroheats
So. Good. (and cheap)
Head-bopping goodness courtesy of Guvera.
Amanda Palmer - Amanda Palmer Performs the Popular Hits of Radiohead on Her Magical Ukulele
Only $0.84 from Bandcamp, and it is so good.

Afrika Bambaataa & The Soul Sonic Force - Planet Rock
I'm such a sucker for this single.

If I had nothing but Shawn Lee playing all day long I'd never need to find a reason to smile...
Winding things back up.
...and the mellow keeps rolling.
Oh, and now for me:
