In a moment of weakness, I did what I vowed not to do: let my eMu credit go for more than 50 cents/track. However, I couldn't resist. This is the rock record I would want every British folk musician to make, infused with booze and salt water staring out into the North Sea. elwood, you should definitely take a listen (here).
Yes to the irony. It is part of my music chintziness that I have trouble paying "full price" for a short album. As if I am buying music by the pound...
Another one...2 CDs, $6.99. Tracks are somewhat different from the CDs (same is true at Amazon, where the discs are just a few bucks more than the mp3's).
Nice solo outing from one half of Mountains, and in similar vein to Mountains' stuff - field recordings, acoustic guitar ripples, drones, reedy noises. (The album-only tracks are 89 cents each at Amazon)

Wow! If this were price is dollars instead of pounds, I'd DL it right now!

I never bought a Destroyer album before, but I couldn't resist the TMT 5 circle rating. This is really good. Daniel, I could see you liking this.
Nagios configs, 14 hours into a 16 hour workday, and Downtempo: a passable cocktail.
- 5 bucks @ Bandcamp.

Forgot all about this one...no longer free, unfortunately.
A real emusic deal - $9.90 at emusic (I think I got it for twelve credits before it disappeared and got reloaded), used from $199.95 at amazon.

Well, that was pretty great. Highly recommended. Now need to get the liner notes somehow. Meanwhile...
