Since it's so empty in here, let me just say that the above Clientele album is really growing on me and is turning out to be an incredible great listen. Re; Merge, sometimes you don't realize what you've got until it's gone.
An extract from a collaborative album by Taylor Deupree and Marcus Fischer just announced for release later this year - unedited first take of part of a track is on soundcloud. Something to look forward to - 12k is one of the things that keeps me on emusic.
- From his blog: "New release, new project, new new new new new noise now...
If glacial ambient soundscapes are your thang, Nospelt might not be your thing.
There are 250 copies of Nospelt. They can be purchased direct from Humming Conch today and will be at intersweat stores soon - Boomkat, Norman records, Experimedia and all that."
As I said when it came out, if you do not like this album, you are not a fan of country music. Actually started the day with this off-the-wall playlist from Bostworld, the blog of ex-Meat Puppet Derrick Bostom: Sock It to Me Country Style.
Doyeq - Visitor
Really not that similar to the Eyelashes of Lanterns release. More like a fairly standard slightly glitschy ambient techno. Decent, though. Free from the archive.
Kinrisu - Lucent Animal Chimes (->bandcamp) Free.
RIYL CocoRosie. Also recommend if you thought there was something going on with CR but you couldn't quite decode it and gave up in frustration. It's more approachable than CR: Sweeter, less grating, less obscure lyrics. I like this a lot. Listening on Bandcamp.
Doyeq - Condition Delay
Same goes for this one as with above Doyeq release, this is also free from the archive - less glitschy slightly less ambient techno, decent but not unusual. Was hoping to find something else in the Eyelashes of Lanterns vein, but it looks like that was a departure.

How could I not listen to a band with that name? Rather pleasant actually. Thanks, BT. (And you get the prize for largest cover art ever posted)
Streaming Julianna Barwick @ NPR.
Got a little package from Dead.net today....time to burn a little incense.
Soundtrack to Brasileirinho
Horse Heaven by Creepoid, streaming from Bandcamp ($10). Not immediately appealing, but not bad. I really like Track 5...
How could I not listen to it with that description! Creative Commons license. Thanks, Bad Thoughts.
