I was about $2 short of $25 when the prices began changing, so I added a Frank Sinatra concert I had been eyeing anyway to make the free shipping. Otherwise it was not a good deal, shipping was something like $40, CD's were $24!

By the time I hit it the prices were starting to get corrected, and I needed to rush off, so I had very little time to search. So I just got (with some non-music stuff to get free shipping)
1 "Essential Duke Ellington"
Ellington, Duke; Audio CD; $2.00
1 "Round About Midnight"
Davis, Miles; Audio CD; $0.70
1 "In a Silent Way"
Davis, Miles; Audio CD; $0.70
I tried Yo-Yo Ma - maybe he'd been fixed by then. One item got pulled from my cart by Amazon while I was ordering, so I had to rush.
I started getting cancellation emails this morning, "Unfortunately, we recently discovered that an error caused the following item(s) to be displayed at an incorrect price." #ToGoodToBeTrue
Ditto here on the cancellation notices. Can't blame them at all. Oh well... I didn't really have room to store another 54 CDs anyway. I did get one email shortly after placing my orders that 1 of the discs I had ordered Amazon 'able to get this part of your order to you faster than we originally promised'. Not sure if that means that some of these orders actually escaped the warehouse or not.
I thought to myself, "what would Craig do?" and then sent an email:
I thought to myself, "what would Craig do?":
Hello,
I checked your order and see that 16 CDs in your order #103-4947451-3956239 has been canceled due to incorrect price being displayed in our website. Since the items has been canceled, it will no longer appear in your order or Your Account.
I'm very sorry that this has been a disappointing experience for you.
At any given time, despite our best efforts, a small number of the millions of items on our site may be mispriced. We do, however, verify prices as part of our shipping procedures.
Since this was an error on our end, we'll honor the old price for the CDs.
Please visit our website to place new order for the CDs and write back to us with the order number so that we will honor the same price for your new order.

Comments:I ordered 17 CDs yesterday, for a total of 27.02, and now my order shows only 1 cd, for a total of 1.51. What happened? Give me an email address and I can forward you the confirmation email you sent me.
@ amclark2 ... wow! They won't honor the original order @ the original incorrect prices but more than willing to let you re-order at the real prices and then 'refund' or credit your account for the price differential? There must be a account trick involved where it works out somehow for Amazon to do it this way, your particular CS rep didn't get the memo, or the people with the balls/gall to actually take the time to question the cancellation of a pretty obvious pricing mistake are such a small number that it's easier/friendlier to just appease them but make them jump through a small hoop in doing so.
To get my last order in yesterday w/Free shipping I had to put a full priced CD in there - a rather pricey one at that. Earlier today I tried to cancel that one CD but the system wouldn't let me since there was still an outstanding 'cheap' CD still active on that order and the free shipping credit was tied to/based on the order as a whole. I'm thinking if I get 1 or 2 of the cheap CDs I'll go ahead and take possession of the full price CD I ordered... otherwise I'll probably end up contacting CS to cancel/return that one CD.
At first I thought, 'can't be bothered - it was 3 CDs'. Then I thought: 'within 10 days or so I will have spent around $600 with them, and they want to cancel my 3 CDs?' So i sent a polite email pointing that out. We'll see.
Yeah, I put the new order through, at $168, which made me nervous, then sent them a message, and in about 1/2 hour they credited it; they left a couple of things at full price, and made the rest free.
Well, they did not reinstate my order - they gave me a $10 credit to use on future orders. Maybe because I didn't threaten to wave the confirmation email at them? Do they have a scale of how annoyed people sound? Or maybe they are making this up as they go along, with some middle management person having a very stressful day.
Jealous that I missed out too, but I wondered when I saw these posts and the original one on fat wallet if they would honor their price glitches. Looks like they did and they didn't.
Looks to me like Jeff Buckley, Grace, is shipped for 70 cents, four others are still pending (Essential Earl Scruggs, Earl Scruggs, Jaco Pastorius, Jaco Pastorius, Essential Herbie Hancock, Herbie Hancock, The Essential Yo-Yo Ma, Yo-Yo Ma, 70 cents or $2 each), and the non-mistake disc is still pending. We shall see what develops....
Today's daily deal is the Magnetic Fields "The Charm of the Highway Strip for $3.99. I've been meaning to get something else by them beside the three disc love songs that I picked up several years ago. It's been while since any of their daily deals caught my attention.

Was planning to grab the album tonight anyway, but now it's a no brainer.
