Hildur Guðnadóttir, Mount A. Absolutely wonderful cello based neo-classical/ambient.
"Hildur Guðnadóttir (1982) is an Icelandic cello player and singer who has been manifesting herself at the forefront ofexperimental pop and contemporary music (e.g. with the band múm). In her solo work she draws out a broad spectrum of sounds from her instrument, ranging from intimate simplicity to huge soundscapes."
Weird things going on with the price on this at Amazon for the cd; I got the 3-album set for about $6, then I noticed it was up to $30, but now it's back to 6. Unfortunately mine came with cracked packaging and one cracked disc. I ripped the good songs from the cd and then filled in the rest from an audience recording. Sounds good enough to me. I could still return it I guess, but doubt I'll get around to it.
Lowlife - yes we did, it was a good game. I think the draw could have been avoided with Lloris in goal instead Vorm, but it was quite entertaining, more so than the games I've seen my team, Man United, play on television. This Sunday I'm going to MK Dons, my local team, to see the game against Chelsea.
amc - it is good, a much better recording that the first date at Pittsburgh that I bought last week. The sound balance on that was poor especially towards the end, this one is much better.
Brian Wilson just announced a 50 Anniversary tour doing the full album with Jardine along. Allegedly it's the last time he'll do it. It's coming through town. I want to go to there.

Loved her last album Fossils and her work with Dave Douglas, really worth a listen
Greg, did you enjoy your trip to The Lane the other week, picked a good game to watch.
