He has no driveway in Japanese stone gardens; we do not enter. These gardens are to look long, intensely, until they perceive their truth, their substance. We are invited to project ourselves, at the same time, into the beauty of the proportions and the tangle of details that build the "everything" of the garden. A similar mind invites the listener to listen to electroacoustic music as if it were a "garden of sounds". With the Butô dance, it's the same! From your soul to my soul ...
Ps- I bought this one because of the cover. A perfect little Piano. We still dry our sheets on the line when weather permits so clothespins are very dear to me. I'm enjoying this listen too, so that's a bonus!
The infamous, unreleased 1971 sequel to The W***** B*** Album. Recently discovered in the (pre)Residents' archive, remastered and released for the very first time. Record Store Day 2019 release. Limited edition of 1400 copies. Comes with hype sticker on front cover, and printed inner sleeve. Track B5 incorporated "Pink Lemonade", "Sandman", "Eat Me Mother", a selection of untitled instrumentals, "Bumble Bee", "Eloise", Snakefinger's wedding, "Kamikaze Lady", Miss Peggy Honeydew and "D Is For Doorknob", a number of announcements, "The Three Most Important Things In The Whole Wide Word" and more. Recorded in San Francisco, San Mateo and Arcata, California. Side B recorded live at The Boarding House, October 18th 1971, at the studios of KHSC-FM, October 30th 1971, at the wedding of Mr P. E. Lithman and Miss Deborah Keadle, October 31st 1971, and in multiple other long-forgotten locations.
I think this is a good spot to move onto the Es and catch some more Ds next time around. A most enjoyable listen, I'd almost forgotten how much I'd enjoyed it.
"The sounds feel weathered, rediscovered; orphaned from their primary
purpose and now left to whimper and hum to themselves, only to be
inducted into Lost Trail’s catalogue of evidence...both potent and
elusive." - ATTN: Magazine
