    ^^ Thanks @ eythian

  • Sarah Davachi Gave in Rest and Pale Bloom. I needed something peacful after the (partially self-imposed) manic rubbish of the last 36 hours.

  • The Point

I just spent half an hour sorting out the tagging on this, and in the process discovered that the MP3 version is messed up at every music service, including spotify. Just in case anyone else buys it and wants to save some time, the image below shows the way the tracks are tagged when purchased on the left along with the actual track title and correct track number that each file contains on the right.

Having just re-bought the relevant two tracks on Amazon, I can also confirm that the clipping on tracks six and seven is not just on emusic's copy - it's still there on the Amazon copy.
  • I have to ask @Germanprof - is the music worth the effort?

@djh, I like the album a lot. I also like all his stuff with Kings X, but I think this might be his strongest solo album. Having bought the MP3s and replaced two of them fruitlessly I am seriously considering buying the CD just to get a complete clean version. Here’s one of the videos:

  • Dan Arborise

2006       Around In Circles                                      2009       Of Tide & Trail
                                                                                                  from Bandcamp
Dan Arborise returns with this tour de force of acoustic guitar, beautiful soundscapes and
warmly affecting vocals. Compared with John Martyn and Nick Drake, Dan creates his own
distinctive modern folk music. A fresher and more upfront record than his 2006 debut,
'Around In Circles,' Dan has captured the fire and beauty of his live performance on 'Of Tide & Trail'
perfectly, sounding in turns both delicate and visceral.

If I actually compiled EOY lists this would have already nailed the #1 spot for pop/vocal album.
