Interesting chart, but it needs some tweeks. Namely, tags like "hip hop" and "hiphop" need to be combined, and they need to find a way to not have 41% of my chart be "other tags".
OK, Doofy2u on lastfm, we're friends!
Now look at my fiendish list of friends and you will see more emusers on it.
Some folks posted their lastfm user names in the "Do you scrobble" thread here on emusers.org.
Yes, VERY LOW is what it told me, too. But we'll always have the Beach Boys, sweetie!
Alas, I may have to turn off scrobbling, as it may be too much for my poor old computer in the basement where the music lives. *Or* maybe it's just that my 1st Gen Shuffle is finally shot, wouldn't that be a shame?
edit: Sure enough, 1st Gen Shuffle no work so good with Scrobble. In fact, I had to reset the Shuffle x2 using the "iPod Reset Tool."
So that's that. I assume there's some way to Scrobble manually from the iTunes library, will soon find out.
Weirdly, it won't sync with the "music computer," but syncs just fine with other computers. I'll give it one more shot, but won't screw around too much more before upgrading.
Oh, that's your problem right there. Shuffles are designed to only sync with one PC. As are most ipods, but at least you can put click-wheels (nano & classic models) into disk mode.
I'm not sure about iPhone/iTouch...they can sync some stuff from multiple PCs, but from what I understand it more often than not, erases everything on the device. TO prevent piracy, you see. and thwart honest customers in the process
Boo, I'm lodging a protest. Only 563/1000. This algorithm doesn't go nearly deep enough to give a picture of the true super-eclecticism of your library, just the top 50 artists. >;-P
Still, I am happy for Plong that he almost got bragging rights. Almost.
Still can't get that gen1 shuffle to scrobble properly. Need to see if there are any ideas on the lastfm boards, or not...
I think top 50 is fair enough, in that in represents a sizable chunk of your listening. You have to choose some depth limit - too deep and you get lots of outliers or one-offs, the limit of which just ends up being your artist count.

The one last.fm 'friend' I know of with higher is Porieux, who always seems 10 points higher than mine.
The most similar artists for my profile are The New Pornographers (9), Broken Social Scene (8), The National (7), Wolf Parade (7), The Decemberists (7), Stars (7), The Shins (6), Arcade Fire (6), Modest Mouse (6), Spoon (5)
What the hell? Don't get me wrong, I like being thought mysteriously eclectic, but this list The most similar artists for my profile are The Rolling Stones (10), Led Zeppelin (8), The Who (7), The Beatles (7), The Doors (6), Jimi Hendrix (6), Pink Floyd (6), Bob Dylan (5), Aerosmith (4), Queen (4)
is not eclectic. thom's is way more off hte beaten top 40 track.
Katrina, I fear this may mean that U2 is now "classic rock." You are still all the way to the right of the curve:
My "similar artists" are pretty much all dead African-American males (except for Bill Evans and a couple of guys who are still with us)
Sonny Rollins (15)
Wayne Shorter (14)
Lee Morgan (13)
Joe Henderson (12)
Hank Mobley (11)
Andrew Hill (11)
Jackie McLean (10)
John Coltrane (9)
Charlie Parker (9)
Freddie Hubbard (9)
Dexter Gordon (9)
Bill Evans (9)
Cannonball Adderley (8)
McCoy Tyner (8)
Kenny Dorham (8)
Bud Powell (8)
Miles Davis (8)
Horace Silver (7)
Louis Armstrong (6)
Thelonious Monk (6)
Katrina, while your top artists may be more mainstream, you do have a lot of variety there. It's kinda funny to me to see U2 at #1 with over 2500 plays and then The Weepies! And then you've got Morcheeba and Wax Tailor up there, too.
A lot of my variety drops way down on the list. A good chunk of my top 20 are relatively similar bands. But all of the jazz, experimental and international stuff tends to be toward the bottom because it's spread thin. I'd have to listen to some of those Soundway comps almost 40 times before any of the artists would even appear on my overall charts.
My super-eclectic score is currently 865/1000

Today I discovered my beloved U2 is touring in 2011! They will be in St Louis...closest they're getting to KC, I presume. Local classic rock station (@doofy - you're correct! U2 is a classic and will still be played years from now) is having contest giveaways for tickets. And, and, I also found out tday that Morcheeba has a new EP, yay! And The Weepies have a new single! I can't believe iTunes told me this! Now if only Wx Tailor would get on the stick... I'd have to listen to some of those Soundway comps almost 40 times before any of the artists would even appear on my overall charts.
I hear ya, I love compilation albums, too.

theory 2) You have such rare listening tastes, and obscure albums, even lastfm cannot fathom the artwork for them.
