Today - 10 Classic Albums for $3.99, or Deal of the Day was something by the Decembrists - sorry, aging neurons forgot the title already.
The 5PM Eastern Lightning Deal will be the Black Box - 8 Ozzy era Sabbath CDs, one DVD, regularly priced at $72.15. The price is going to have to be much more fetching for me to bite the bathead on this one.
Edit- it's interesting that as of 2PM Eastern these 10 albums are the Top 10 on the MP3 Album Chart there, and the order they are in. I might even get me Pet Sounds finally later.
Wow, talk about the bat's bollocks - order it Friday and Monday afternoon the Black Box is in my hot little hands at my desk here - and I've got all week to torment my co-workers before I take it home and hide it from the wife. Life is good.
Looks like today's 1PM Eastern Lightning Deal will be the 10 CD Zeppelin box.
EDIT - $69.99. Not really, as I'm still holding on to the venerable vinyl, as well as having the 6 CD Remasters. If they'd gone $49.99 I would have probably hit it.
Zep Box Part II - Doh! Upon slightly longer consideration - maybe 3 minutes - I went ahead and bought it. It's only one of my favorite bands, and it's $7 a CD, what was I thinking? If I'd seen a deal like that back when Tower Records was around I would have jumped on it. Not the best time in the world to part with $70 but since I like listening in the original album order what the hell. Since by 2PM 98% of them were gone I guess I'm not alone in this.
I'll probably get the new Ha Ha Tonka for $2.99 because I want an album to get my "cloud upgrade" and the Bloodshot Records offices (storefront) are right around the corner from my house! Oh yes, and I also like the band.
Btw, swindlee, didn't realize the 20G free upgrade went away after a year. I suppose next you're going to tell me I should've read the fine print. I would be swell if all old Amazon purchases got backed up to the cloud, wouldn't it?
$3.99 Today's Special is the new Robbie Robertson whose name escapes me - which really is bad considering I bought it this morning (at home, at least).

Today's deal is the new Devotchka album for $3.99.
Glasser is still just $2.99 - one of the best albums from 2010.
And today we have the third Black Angels album, which I can't remember if I own... d'oh!
25 track Winter 2011 sampler from Relapse Records... Time for some Headbangin'!!!!!

$3.99 today! Well worth it.
Still just $3.99 from last week or something. Hurry up if you don't have this yet.
For some reason $3.99 - just in case you're really behind the times and feeling angst-y!

Today's MP3 is Foo Fighters Greatest Hits $3.99.
I knew if I waited I'd get it for a better price than what I'd been seeing.

i knew you were going to say that. It is "How To Become Clairvoyant" and the album is very nice indeed on the first listen.

I had forgotten how much I hate his music.
That is just too brainf**ked for words. I need to go back to Clairvoyance 101.
